Have a nasty feeling the salami I bought at the supermarket is actually Cow tongue...

It must be my ignorance but I don't get this "Sky" obsession with being out front all the time and doing all the work. Do they have a cunning plan or are they just stupid?

I don't either. They should have got a rider in the break and made Belgium do all the chasing.

Its the same as any other race...

    -staying out of trouble
    -controlling pace and breaks
-getting in the right splits (eg crosswinds, crashes etc.)

    etc. etc.

Millar seems to be tiring of Porters constant references to the track :-)

David Millar is doing a great job in giving insights re: the peleton and its characters - congrats to him.

I understand riding near the front.... but ON the front all the time?

Millar has been very patient and Porter more animated. Best BBC combo going forward could be Boardman as race commentator and Millar as pundit (racing permitting)

Yep I'm enjoying listening to Millar-very eloquent and insightful.
  • Chapeau to Cav, a massive turn by him. I can't remember many sprinters (including his TdF efforts as well) who've worked like that for a team.

Perfect placement for Tornado Tom today!

Right at the crash site so you get it in slow motion!

    It worked in the TdF...

Also it was only Cav and Dowsett riding. Not riders you expect to have at the end.
  • That second break has forced the Belgians to contribute more. GB to get a break off the front of the peleton.

Well done Cav, you can be proud of how you've worn the stripes this year!
  • I have to say I was sceptical about picking him for this WC. However, he has worked his nuts off today and can wear the rainbow bands on his sleeves with pride for the rest of his career.

Salute Cav - he has certainly honoured the rainbow jersey.

Agreed. I think becoming WC was Evans' transition from whinger to True Champion

Contador attack brought back smart like.

JTL moved right up to the front now.
  • The depressing part about the Contador attack was that the commentary switched to talking about Valverde.

Froome gapping Wiggo. JTL going with Contador. It's all going on.

    Major split.
