Why are GB on the front??“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

I think they're trying to keep it as steady a pace as possible to help JTL cope with the distance. No letting the gap get to 10+ minutes and then having to drill it for a really hard final 100k.0 -

It's a good blog to follow, in true Dutch style she leaves little to the imagination! Really highlights the difference between the men and womens pro peloton, including a justified bith at the men who whinged that they did nt have much to get changed in after that Vuelta stage! We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

There should be a ban on combining team kit with national kit. Colourclash-tastic!0
-
Millar saying that Cav is road captain for GB today. Interesting.0

Gotta love Cav cornering...dropping the peloton with ease :-)0

I reckon it's one lap of the circuit, then Cav climbs off."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

Why doesn't Cav get to wear the world's jersey?0

Swift and JTL the only two Brits not at the front.0

His year is up. But I bet he's wearing it underneath.0 -

It must be my ignorance but I don't get this "Sky" obsession with being out front all the time and doing all the work. Do they have a cunning plan or are they just stupid?“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

170km to go. So, I'd say around 4pm UK time or 10pm in western Siberia.0 -

I don't either. They should have got a rider in the break and made Belgium do all the chasing.0 -
Is there an intermediate sprint coming up?0

Valverde might.
From yesterday:

Apparently Alejandro Valverde fainted yesterday afternoon. The Spanish team says he just ate his lunch too quickly.
Anyone else think that's a little shady? Particularly after his Vuelta....0 -
Ahh, crosswinds!0

Don't know why they're riding today (my guess is they're trying to make it as relaxed a first 150k as possible for JTL), but I know thinking has gone into it.
We saw during the Tour with Cav, and at the Vuelta when Froome went off the boil, that when it's not in their interest to ride, they won't.0 -
