So we know who the camera man favours unsurprisingly.

    My thoughts too!

And this, my friends, is what cycling is about. Can't believe I watched 3 weeks of that rubbish in July.

Is it me or are they just plonking the finish line anywhere in this Vuelta...

Valverde? The cameras are all over him.
  • Great, great last 5k. Someone remind me - what's the score on the time bonuses for today?

That's why bonus seconds are rubbish.

Contador of old would have got rid of those 3.

TDF is always the least interesting of the GTs, but if Contador was there, it would have been worth watching. Great to see him lighting up the race from the beginning, and not only is it exciting to watch him attack, it makes the other riders have to really work hard for the win. True racing, and this is what cycling is about. Can't wait for the rest of the Vuelta.

Sorry I followed the thread now....should have waited and watched the highlights show cold.

Cameras on Valverde, and finish line data give J-Rod.... :?

    Valverde leading GC

Great little battle between Contador and Froome for 3rd - different climbing styles

It's like the 2007 Tour all over again.

Proper juiced up riding there imo. Piti was nowhere near in the Tour and now all of a sudden he is climbing better than Froome....exciting finish though!

I don't know about that. It was just the sort of punchy hill that would suit Valverde and Rodriguez.

Go hard or go home. Wiggins would get eaten alive here.

Contador has the legs as I expected. Big J Rod got the power. Valverde got the kick. Froome looking good.

Joaquim sta up a moment too early - not going to be happy about that one.

Contador's race face is just A++

Very hard Cat1 tbh. I'm surprised so many got shelled. Where the hell was Quintana? Cobo?

They were going ridiculously fast at the last 3km. Vuelta loves these short flattish downhills just before the finish - I like them too.

Nothing wrong with bonus seconds. And no Contador would not have dropped them previously.

Talansky is up there - keep a good eye on him. Real shame he lost time in the Garmin TTT crash.
