Did froome just blank Princess Anne?

Goes up in my estimation if so.

Stilll dont like him though and still wish he wasnt there.

Look at that grumpy face. Looks 10 years older than Wiggins.

He's got to go home now and explain to his better half why he didn't get gold.

Well, on a different note, the view from NL suggests that we are making a rather good job of hosting this. The palace, the routes, the support for all the atheletes, the venues are all good. Feeling proud to be British!! Gawd bless us!

I was going to ask this.

    What is the consensus?

Bit disrespectful to Phinney that he is a class rider and will get better

I understand your sentiment but I just get the feeling that he's promised a lot and not managed to live up to expectations. Certainly plenty of time to change that but there's no obvious sign of that happening.

So you saw his Giro prologue then?

I know I'm setting myself up here as Wiggins was a sort of prologue specialist and look what has happened there. I agree that TP is still very young but I just think he has to start pushing on a bit and delivering more. Anyway this has got way off topic so I won't make any more comment.

Brilliant stuff. On the edge of my seat here when BBC eventually put it on........

    BRILLIANT!!!!!

    Couple of questions please, gentlemen.

    Wiggins no gloves. ???

    Asymmetric chain ring. ???

What's it like being overtaken on a Time Trial (ignominy is a word which springs to mind (not referring to Sanchez))

One of the commentators commentated that today's the last day for team changes, is that right?

And all in "my thread" too, I feel honoured.

is this a better year than Roche's triple crown year?

    No

Ok - how do you rate it in the best single year's performance league table I have just invented?

    Dunno. Don't have the knowledge.

    But

    Giro + Worlds > Dauphine+ Paris Nice+ Olympics.

    No?

What about if you add Le Tour in there?

It sucks. Majorly. Especially after only 5 miles of a 25...

Bradley Wiggins time over course (in old money) 32.381mph - now that is impressive.

Well the hug that he gave Wiggo looked sincere, not like Froome's.

Le Tour would be on both sides of the equation so make no difference

    That is a cracking photo!!!

I heard that Wiggins didn't sleep a wink last night worrying about is brakes being in front of the fork.
  • TBF, the events that frame was designed for don't have brakes or cables.
