Nope, you've got me, still no idea who he is. The only cycling I watch is the Tour!

(posted on that thread, btw :D )
Thought you were too big a cycling fan not to know, but you suckered me in with your deadpan delivery! ;)

(It was a great advert for Cervelo having 2 S5's on the womens podium!)

They were on S2s, not S5s. Why bother buying an S5 when a much cheaper frame is good enough for two spots on the Olympic podium?

Oh ok then....not such a good advert then

Sad about Fabs. The Swiss road a fine race.
Team GB seemed to be stuck in stage race mode? Way too conservative.

Here is the link of David Bond's stupid question. The BBC coverage is terrible! Harmond and Kelly = Genius, Porter = shocking.

Anyone got the link to the BBC news at 10pm so i can see this interview with Cavendish - whats this about having words with the reporter david bond....prob something to do with the guy not knowing anything about cycling ?
I don't have a link, but it was indeed David Bond (BBC Sports Editor) and at the end of a typically content-free interview and as Cav walked off, he asked Cav if he hadn't won because of "tour de france tiredness".
Cav replied "stop asking stupid questions. do you even understand road cycling?". Which was a quite reasonable response. Bond's report on the race for the news amply supplied the answer.

No worries - (BBC sports editor ???) Thats a joke ive seen a few of this tossers reports on other sports....I actually think most of us on here would do a better job than these "Hangers on" at the BBC. I mean Claire balding the swimming host its laughable. Mr Bond would be better off coming out and explaining why Hugh "Mr Magoo" Porter made an ars* of himself in that shambolic commentary yesterday.

Eight badminton players have been disqualified from the women's doubles competition after being accused of "not using one's best efforts to win

If the Badminton teams have been disqualified for not trying, how does that work with the road race?

Roche and Martin, cousins that competed for rival teams in the Tour de France, finished 89th and 90th respectively in Saturday’s road race, which was won by Alexandre Vinokourov of Kazakhstan.
Daniel Martin, the third member of Team Ireland, crossed the line in 55th and escaped criticism from Kimmage during the radio interview.

Huh? Is the second reference to Dan Martin actually referring to Dave Mcann?
