    Ah sorry.

I can't stay on this thread too long. Reminds me of work.

Seeing that in black and white made me realise just how big a shake up is happening at Liquigas. I make that 5 of their 2012 TDF lineup gone.

Anyone know where SEP V is going?

His contract at Garmin expires this year and it is not renewed. He wasn't allowed to ride the Vuelta as his points would go with him (Riis point above in action).

Apparently he has chosen a team but not signed.

I'm surprised they didn't renew but maybe they think he is a Devolder. Maybe they think he doped to get those wins.

    Fuglsang to Astana

Sep V is not going to a Belgie team - Rabo seems a possible?

I wonder why he's avoiding the belgos.

More to the point, why would any promising young rider sign for Rabo?

  • Any idea why Garmin didn't renew with Van Marcke?

Yeah, I know what you meant. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to use Google without the safe search on.

I am now very hungry, for both sorts.

    Few post up

That explains why he's not riding the Vuelta... but not why they didn't renew his contract

    Alright alright, I'll stop.

But most moves will be for the cash, with the very few exceptions where people have enough cash it doesn't matter anymore.

I missed your original $ emoticon due to scrolling past the arses to preserve some veneer of working...

I'd have thought a rider might consider a move to a team offering a smaller salary if they felt that they were likely to have more success and therefore earn more in prize money and sponsorship deals and in the long term help to increase their value.

I actually took a paycut and the guarantee of being out on my ear on 4/08/14 to take this job, so awesome was it

Interesting for Navarro! I guess he is good enough to go for more leading roles in stage races. He has loved working for Contador and says so often. Contador is appreciative of his talents and help. I wish him well. Shit team though : )
He has several interesting offers for next season and it is said that he will change teams, but Dani Navarro warns that "now I'm focused on helping Contador, who's coming to the Vuelta a España fresh and angry. I think that the race will be decided in Asturias because we'll come from a very tough time trial in Galicia, then go to Ancares, also a difficult day; after that we get to Lagos, which is easier, and following that is the queen stage at Cuitu Negru. Therefore I have to do well for Alberto."

Froome cannot sully Liquigas with his presence.
