It's because the election was boring. Sarkozy could have won if he really wanted to...

was he under team orders to stay back?

    So.

Most boring final TT in the last 5 years?

    Froome will win.

Surely he'll have to wait two minutes for Brad and then lead him round?!

With no Cancellara, no Tony Martin, who's going to win the TT tomorrow?

I'm not so sure about that. I suspect the stage will be GB #1 GB #2 but I think Wiggo will have a lot to prove and can't see him allowing himself to come second best to Froome. I think tomorrow will be a great TT just for those two alone. First time for a few days that Froome gets to show us how much better he is than Brad - and vica versa. I think they will both go at it like men possessed.

When Froome and Wiggo lock horns is that what they call Blue on Blue?? !!

    Nice interview with Cav here:

    http://www.itv.com/tourdefrance/news/ca ... ne-rooney/

He says this morning Sean Yates said they'd have an easy day and let the break win. Cav asked for a shot at the stage, and Wiggins and Froome backed him up. :)

Great little stage. Fine effort from the break and later chancers.

Brad asked about French president Hollande: "I didn't know who he was, I thought he was some guy from Loft Story (Big Brother)"

I think sunday is going to be exciting, Wiggins last man leading out Cav would be superb.

    Risky though

May as well leave it to the proles from 1km out

does the 3km rule not count? if so, only risk is egg on face, not loss of GC. and at least the egg will match the jersey :D

I expect Wiggins will be thinking about the olympics maybe, Olympic TT champ, paying Cav back in the road race etc

In fairness to me, they didn't do much till the final 3.5km

Just think how much further ahead he'd have been had he worn his closed-vents aero helmet ;)

Just watched the highlights. I had already read the result but with 500m to go I still could not believe Cav'd win it.

    OMFG amazing!
  • As he been tested for 'nitromethane'

How would Cav do if he lined up against Hoy or Kenny?
Pross is right, as soon as the pace goes above sportive pace Kenny and Hoy would get dropped, even on the flat so would never be in contention.
Look at Theo Boss, he was world track champ and more physically suited for switch to road but has not set the sprint world on fire.
Cav on the track would be competative in match sprints but not to the level of Hoy or Kenny or probably top 20 world track sprinters.
Maybe someone has his 200m times?

Perfect 'boring' stage. Just watched that finish back more times than any other I think, lots to look at each time.
Roche took it in good spirits.
  • Favourite moment was when Cav flew past Roche and LLS and they both stopped pedalling. What a painful moment

Perfect response a few weeks ago from someone on twitter:

"it's like asking who'd win a fight between a polar bear and a shark - depends on who's territory it is in."

Hoy would not even be at the sprint after 200km, and on the track Cav ain't got 2500 watts to put down.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
