Stupendous. The leader delivering his boys and Cav destroying the rest. What a ride from everyone. Even Vino deserved his day.World Champion/Yellow Jersey indeed

Cav's bike getting shipped off for an x-ray checking for a motor.

Great result and I really feel he deserves this and the champs after being an impeccable teammate this tour.

Can't wait to see the yellow on the front of the train on the champs.

Any reason why he can't repeat that in Paris?

Seems like, out of all the sprinters, Cav was the only one who thought he could actually catch them and win it!!

    Sensational. :)

    Nope.

He always gets better as the Tour goes on.

A -Fecking- mazing what a sprint that was!

As sprint only matched when he won on the Champ by 50 m!

Odds shortening even further for gold now!
  • When I saw EBH in the break I put a fiver on Cav to win @ odds of 8.08, feeling quite smug now

    Aye, good stage that.

    Take note Tour organisers.

Small climbs before the finish are always good.

EBH fluffed the leadout a bit - not that it mattered at all.

Weeks of sandbagging thrown away. The Germans won't be so keen to help chase after Box Hill now.

That was amazing from Cav! No one else was in sight.

Watched it in the kitchen at work with four other non-cycling fans who were all really impressed.

I think sunday is going to be exciting, Wiggins last man leading out Cav would be superb.

Wasn't expecting much today but I was so wrong. Well played to Wiggins and that sprint was amazing.

The way Cav dropped Sagan when he opened it up was amazing, only matched by LLS's reaction when Cav went past him.

    Risky though

May as well leave it to the proles from 1km out

I'll just watch the highlights tonight on frame by frame then...having skipped the first 45 mins of guff from the chuckle brothers. Cavendish clearly dug deep into his suitcase of courage this afternoon.

Wasn't sure whther EBH got the line into the corner wrong, or Cav just decided Greipel's wheel would be a better one to follow? Seemed to work anyway!

Yeah but if Froome had led him out instead of Wiggo he'd have been there 20 seconds earlier...I'll get my coat.

    AMAZING sprint from Cavendish

Why the **** didn't he do that for the stages he either didn't contest or lost?

I don't mind saying, when Mark sprints like that he gives me wood!

Great win for Cav. Looked like he had 3 or 4 more gears than the rest at the finish line. He went past Roche and Sanchez like they were standing still. A bit of payback from Wiggins in the lead out there too.

LLS Sanchez has been good value this Tour.
