The overhead shot was amazing but the lower shot of LLS giving up and gesturing as he goes past will surely be one of Cavs 'career highlight reel' moments.0

Why the **** didn't he do that for the stages he either didn't contest or lost?
I don't mind saying, when Mark sprints like that he gives me wood!
Who knows, fatigue lack of motivation, having another role to play. Today it was for him and he was up for it...as are you by the sounds of it Rapper!0 -
Tried to post that message 4 times. Someone needs to turn off that ******* annoying preview crap.0

I hope the helicopter stays in there air later. There's a Frenchman in 21st place so hopefully no froggy aircraft mechanic gets any big ideas - maybe that's why riders battle for 20 odd place0

Was thinking about this.
You know that shot in the first week where they had 3 riders in a row all with left hand wrist breaks?
Euro-set up - front brake on the left....
Similarly, I thought funny how most sprinters always end up with road rash on their back rather than broken wrists.
They're not braking .0 -

I get the impression none of the riders recognise M Hollande!0

The boys had us up at 0430 hrs (not sleeping well this holiday for some reason), so Mrs Mad Rapper is tired. No excitement for me later0 -

As he always is - probably my favourite rider.
I'm not sure if his reaction at the end was because he thought he'd got jumped by Roche or one of the other breakaways and then realised it was Cav.0 -

They made a very clear reference to Paul's suitcase about halfway through today's commentary!
Great finish - combination of edge-of-seat stuff with the breakaway almost making it, and Cav's emphatic show of speed and strength to blast past the remnants while leaving the other sprinters trailing in his wake.
I think Cav could have won many more stages if there had been fewer crashes and more support, but Sky's priorities had to be elsewhere for most of the last 3 weeks.
What's going to happen Sunday? I hope it stays dry. They use their cars as shopping baskets; they use their cars as overcoats.0 -

Risky though
May as well leave it to the proles from 1km out
does the 3km rule not count? if so, only risk is egg on face, not loss of GC. and at least the egg will match the jersey0 -
How would Cav do if he lined up against Hoy or Kenny?0

It's because the election was boring. Sarkozy could have won if he really wanted to...0 -

That was excellent! He was like 'Oh FFS!'
So near, yet so far.... I think it he wouldn't have reacted like that if it had been a pack of half a dozen sprinters, but it was just a rainbow rocket.0 -

I guess when your bloke's been away for 3 weeks you get 'needy' but to randomly tweet like that sounds desperate. Did anyone tweet back "yes please"?0 -
