TDF Stage 18 *spoiler*
Well, here we go for the stage of the century. Hold onto your pants, this one may be more excitement than your bowels can endure.
Alternatively, it may well be the most boring, superfluous, Ill scheduled waste if everyone's time since Brad last said to Chris, 'c'mon, I'll race you to the top'
Enjoy.

I've been up for a second consecutive night with a screaming infant. I'm beginning to lose my grip on reality, which was only tenuous at best previously.0

yes, you've started 18 a bit early. I have sympathy - they do grow up... and as for the kids...  :shock:0

c'mon Frank let's get to Boots before it shuts.0

So far it would seem that the jury is out on whether his diet regime has helped him or hindered him, if he can climb like 2009 then he should be fine. Problem is that in 2009 he had a team that was dedicated to getting him over it and reeling back in the attackers, for Sky that will just be a bonus."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Yeah but Liquigas might0 -
Greenedge probably the one team who ought to try and pull the break back today, either that or get someone remotely useful in the break. All the Sky bashing has allowed their poor performance to stay under the radar."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Any news on how Cav is after his incident yesterday 3km from the line with a spectator? Last heard his leg was pretty sore and coming up with a lump on it.0

lousy tour but pretty decent year for a new team."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -

Sky to do SFA.
Sky will protect Wiggo today, end of
I am looking forward to a proper Sky train on Sunday though. If they hold back on Sunday because of the olympics it will be a big disappointment. Last man should be Wiggo to repay all the hard work.0 -
can't see them holding back on Sunday. Cav has talked about the champs since the beginning and even Wiggins has commented about helping Cav providing the yellow jersey is done.
Heres hoping for a good sprint day Sunday.0 -
Trouble with Sky putting a train together is that they are not all that good at it. Still, will be nice to see.0
-
you won't see Froome or Porte anywhere in a train.
Will be great to see Sky leadout with Cav, Wiggins, EBH, Eisel, Rogers
Cant seem them wanting to put Wiggins as 3rd or 4th man incase he runs out of steam. Would be abit crap to see the Yellow Jersey lumber in after the sprint totally shafted :P0 -

Could be the most exciting 20 seconds of the tour
Disclaimer: I've actually quite enjoyed this years tour but can see how it might be dull for some without a real GC battle0 -

Break to stay away?
Can't see Cav wanting to work too hard today - I expect any bump will be a good enough excuse to get dropped & conserve energy for Paris.
<massive crash paranoia>
Sky should split the team and go on opposite sides of the peloton, so one crash can't take out both Wiggo & Froome.

Sky could have a word with Millar and use the Champs as a practice for next Friday, they are only missing Stannard
unless Garmin want to try and lead out Farrar #wasteoftime0 -
It'll be interesting to see if Sky - assuming that things don't change in the GC - do try to give Cav the full lead out on Sunday. There are some good reasons not to - he wont get to enjoy all the traditions of the yellow jersey on the last stage; there is a greater danger of crashing (all be it probably in the last 3km); and lets face it Froome, Wiggins and co will be knackered. Wiggins has previous, according to Millar, of promising to work for the sprinter on the Champs but then not doing it.0
-
No, Wiggins has previous of promising to work for Farrar. Don't confuse him with a sprinter.
I think Bradley will work hard for Cav on Sunday.Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
Allround - Cotic Solaris0 -
