What's the 'best' route to Walton-on-Thames from Kentish Town?

Liverpool is nice this time of year if you want to make it a "SCR tour of the UK"

Head south, when you get to the river turn right. Cross the river, preferably via a bridge, keep following the river. You can't miss us.

Regent's Park sounds easier. Just head east along the river until you hit Westminster Bridge. Cross the river, preferably using said bridge and then head north. You can't miss us. ;)

Not a deal breaker, but as I will have to come by car, central London is not so good for me - I am allergic to paying £20 to park for a couple of hours with a side order of congestion charge.

Some kind of duo based car type action? Even trio if ITB and Redvee need a lift? Buggered if I am cycling fixed from Brizzle to Richmond Park

If you are going to do that there is free parking in Richmond Park and it's on the western side of London, very close to junction 2 of the M4.
Take your bikes and you can do a couple of laps and view the wildlife. Take the pedicab and you can do a lap together.

I thought that, I want to watch from somewhere but realised last week I have to pick my son up from the New Forest that day. Driving anywhere from here will be a disaster. Dagnabbit!!

Presently awaiting orders for all of those weekends, bar the 28th, when the RR is on, but very keen. Don't mind Regents Park or Richmond Park.
