edited August 2012 in Commuting chat
TDF starts this weekend and I do believe the last two SCR summer gathering at the Roebuck RP have been during this period therefore it makes sense (to me at least) to get the ball rolling again.

Weather permitting natch, who's in?

If there's enough interest i'll create a which date poll.
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

Make a decision soon though so that MeanRedSpider, UndercoverElephant, SuzyB and all of the other Sweatys can start cycling down!

What about something when the Olympic track cycling is on? I know I'll be in That London then and I suppose a few more provincial types might be too.

I vote for friday 27th of july as i'd be flitting through london on my way to penzance to start my LEJOG* :D

(so, if all of you could just rearrange everything, forget the opening ceremony, etc. so that this one northerner can make it that'd be great, yeah :P )

*plan is Wakefield to kings cross train after my last day at work on 27th then sleeper out to penzance (gotta find my way through the big smoke with a fully laden tourer!) so that leaves a couple of hours beer & food time :D

    Summer?
That's been cancelled this year, or postponed at least.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Well, I heard that $your_employer is conducting a team-building exercise near $chosen_location on $preferred_date, so I think you could get away with a swift freshener...

I'm in, although it's all the way down in bloody Richmond usually isn't it? Can't we do Regents Park or something? A few laps and then off to a pub nearby!

Richmond's not far. What are you talking about? Regents Park is all the way up Norff.

Richmond Park is not near to everyone, it's a good ride from here even though I am south too, unless it's central then nope.

How about a Lambeth Bridge to Chelsea Bridge and back TT, with light refreshments at the Morpeth and that scraggy bit of grass across the road?
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

That could get my ride into double figures. 'Tis a nice ride along the river though.

Yeah central is surely easier for everyone, or the best compromise. I live SE, getting to Richmond is always a pain. I don't really know the way. Whereas I can shoot into central London quickly and easily...
