Jonathan Hivert (Saur Sojasun) wins the gallop (no idea how - the bastarding live stream went @ 1 km to go)

Live stream went with me too. Nearly fell off my chair when I got it back for the re-run of the finish. Though the Saur-Sojasun rider was Coppel and I'd won the PTP for today. :D

    Boring stage. Picturesque, but boring.

Funny vid of post-race interview with Wiggo - last 20 seconds the best bit!

That was excellent! Impressed with Wiggin's ability to speak French. I still think he's a grumpy tool, but I might like him a smidgen more after watching that.

Yep, 2 points, which would have made you outright leader with a good chance at the GC too.

Watching Meier on his R3, do you think the team really rides R3s or do you think they're R5s painted to look that so avg joes like me want them even more.

Given they probably come out of very smilar moulds but with different lay-ups maybe there's only a 100 grams in it or so...

Goddamit, my random late pick was half decent too - I 'd never have picked him if I'd have thought about it! :(

Note sure what the R3s or R5s are, but you could be right. There is no reason why a R5 couldn't be painted up to look like a R3. Not sure about the R5ca though, it has a slacker seat tube angle so it can be used with a in line post. Think people might spot the "fake" R3.

This chap's got HD videos of the stages so far, they seem to go up fairly sharpish.

Five riders up the road today, with around 5 minutes lead

Matthew Brammeier (IRL-Omega), Gatis Smukulis (LAT-Katusha), Leigh Howard (AUS-GreenEdge), Tosh Van der Sande (BEL, Belisol-Lotto), Anders Lund (DEN, Saxo Bank). Around 100km left to go

The official ToR text updates are shocking. Usually 5 - 10 minutes between updates but they've posted twice in two minutes, the second to inform us that it yesterday was an auspicious day to be name Jonathan - not only did Jonathan Hiver win yesterdays stage of the ToR, another Jonathan (Fumeaux) was second on yesterdays stage of the the Tour de Bretagne.

Oh, and Jacob Fuglsang didn't start this morning
