Ah, the riots extend to a third evening and have even spread to Birmingham

So, do you think this is a justified protest against a justified shooting of a man who was involved in a shootout with the police last week, or just an opportunity by the certain sector of society to loot and pillage because it's in their interest for personal gain?

    Now if that copper retaliates, the "police brutality" and "racist" issues get brought up by the leftist press..

    Not saying he wasn't carrying a gun, or it's not foolish to fumble in your pockets when armed police are pointing guns at you. But there's some doubt over whether he actually fired any shots, or even had the gun in his hand. It was recovered from it's hiding place in a sock after the shooting apparently.

    But no, this isn't proportional, or even linked. People are just taking advantage to nick stuff. There does seem to be a lot of anger out there though.

    Apparently sh1ts getting real in London, Birmingham, Coventry, Leeds, Liverpool....

    hmm i think this is an excuse, the initial riots may have been a protest but the looting shows its d!cks getting involved and stealing for their own gain. Problem is if they don't get it sorted soon this could really go off if it spreads to other cities!

    Bring in the airfield fire engines with the pressure hoses and blow them off their feet and put the fires out at the same time!

    In any civilised democracy looters get shot.
    Here they get sent on state funded holidays or put in Youth Detention Centres with PlayStations, MP3 players and Xboxes to keep them entertained for a few months

    i think its a protest, what with a load of chav teenagers looting greggs, carphone warehouse, jd sports and currys and not actually doing any protesting...

    (had a massive arguement about this at work, really cant be bothered with this anymore, round up the looters, lock em up and have Rapey Dave have his way with them. Did anyone see the guy who posted a pic of his 'haul' (a barrell of weight gain powder, xbox accessories, body shop cosmetics, aftershave and a selection of old/rubbish dvds/games/blurays) on twitter, with his grinning face in said pic, giving the thumbs up :roll:

    Yeah, smashing up a shop window, and throwing two by fours through the window of a passing bus, and looting vans as they try to drive away os obviously a very valid, if slightly surreal form of protest against police brutality. Cuase you know, those busses, shops and vans deserved it. Probably.
    It's just too "out there", and "surreal" for you to understand, maaaan, and if you don;t get it, well, you're with "the man", right.
