    Brilliant.

Thought that was a class ride by Hushovd to keep the yellow jersey.

Contador trying to claim the win on the line. Without honour. Not a true champion.

Ithought EBH was going to take that in the last 500m.

Still, PTP comes up trumps. Take that Gilbert sheep.

8 seconds to Thomas, EBH, Millar, Andy Schleck. Frank finished up there.

Great win for Evans, Wiggins looked ok coming strong at the end there and great to see 3 Brits in the top 10 still.

Great finish and good victory for Cadel. Bertie didn't look that smooth to me. Sky now the leading team?

Not a great day for Wiggins: He can't get up a climb that Hushovd can? :?

Contador is clearly recovered from the Giro well though. Shleck, weaker?

I expect Gilbert and maybe Contador getting a small gap, but only Evans is a danger for the GC tonight.

I think Contador will try. He has time to make up and I'm not sure Schleck is ready to defend yet. He looks like he'll peak later in the tour.

    Interesting start.

I know he has his detractors but Cadel comes across as a really nice guy. Pleased for him.

Points fans will notice that Rojas got 8 at the finish, finishing with Wiggins who was only just behind the first group.

Edit: Basso at 8 seconds too, this wasnt his ideal finish so it looks like he does have some form after all.

Ah that blows although Evans is a really nice guy.

    Very good from Contador.

He will destroy them in the mountains.

    Andy gapped.

An Evans/Contador battle for the tour would be awesome... I hope Andy isnt bluffing and he really is struggling to get top form... Ok, a 2km finish isnt a benchmark and he still has a week to ride into form... but I can only hope

Wiggins did badly in not following the first 10, Wiggins did well in forcing another split in the following group getting another couple of seconds.

3 Brits in the top 10!
