This is really not looking good.

Someone on PdC said his wife is expecting a baby in September.

No, just as indication that for the riders for the moment it's still show must go on.... Weylandt is Leopard too. they haven't seen the images, and not sure what they're being told over radios...
  • watching it at the moment, nothing seems to have been said to any of the riders...none of them are sitting up

Is cardiac massage the same as CPR?

After 15 mins of cardiac massage and adrenalin shots, you normally assume the worst

CPR means Cardio-Pulminary Resucitation, so yes, it's cardiac massage.
By the way blood was pouring from the poors man's nose, it looks like a massive cranial fracture.

I remember when Casartelli died on the portet d'aspet Virenque, who won the stage, claimed noone told him about the crash

Very sad to say but sounds similar to Fabio Casartelli

Yes it does... and with that blood loss cadiac arrest would follow very quick. Its horrible, but judging by the speed Id say and pray, the poor guy didnt feel much

Can't make out the Italian radio.
I think the helicopter is there.

Fear the worst, I'm sad to say. Helmets or none, out with your mates or in a top stage race, you always put yourself at risk and it is a dangerous sport.

    Terribly sad.

Very tricky to get the helicopter in quickly I would have thought. I hope the hospital is close by.
