Latest job: it's a tough life...
She turned up straight from work with minimal make-up and no additional clothes.
Did the best we could.
I gather she was 'coerced' into this by her BF - who paid for the shoot - but was so thrilled with the images she's booked another session with a MUA and stylist.

aged park image by 77ric, on Flickr
my local park, I was passing through early doors one morning, and the sun coming from low behind the trees silhouetting them a little, didn't have my 500d with me so had to settle with the HTC Desire. I've also got this bee in my bonnet about making shots look old, especially victorian at the moment.
Now i'm just waiting for a good sunny clear morning to get back there with the 500d with ef 28mm ƒ2.8 and tripod and get a better shot.Fancy a brew?0 -
77ric, that is awesome!0

thats a great little photo. If you put a blur on the top and bottom it makes it look like a proper model beach scene with tiny model people, eg

i like that!
my camera has an art filter called "diorama filter" which does that in the camera, i never think to do it
i sometimes forget that a picture can be fun as well as wll taken if that makes sense (im not suggesting for a minute i kno anything about taking a photo well of course )0 -

Her eyes are slightly overdone in these - the result of a mis-match in my workflow - I've now re-ordered some of the actions to take care of this:

Not posh or artistic, but I like them

Is that a kangawoo or a wabbit?
And what's the story?0 -
It's a Kangeroo, called Kenny.
It's something they do for my daughters school. Kenny comes home with 1 kid each weekend and you have to go out and get photos of kenny (and your kid) doing various activities.
I just wanted to get some pics that were a bit out of the ordinary because all the other ones from the other kids were a bit boring.0 -
Haha, sweet idea! I like it.0

I love that. The colour in the phone box, and the desaturated, drab look of the rest of it is striking. Great work.0 -
yeehaamcgee
Thanks, it's not an effect I'm normally a fan of, it's a bit overused but in the case of this photograph it really suited the the subject matter and increases the impact of the final image.Fancy a brew?0 -
There are some great shots in this thread....I would really love to hear the workflow behind the portrait shots that Arkady001 has taken...and I am loving the B&W shots people are taking.
Here are a few of mine
Paris - Straight from the camera
Conwy Castle at Night from Deganwy
Wife & kids + 1 extra.

My Little Mermaid
My First go a panning
My first go at stitching

wow really liking this thread. some cracking images. How about putting in a bit of detail on them you know like camera used, aperature setting and stuff, gives the incentive to try new ways and techniques. Good stuff anyway. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
