there seems to be loads of folk who are pretty handy with a camera so how about a thread to show a recent picture you took and are proud of or pleased with, not necessarily for critique but just a place to show summat interesting or satisfying for whatever reason.
this is a picture of a bit of berlin wall displayed at the corps museum in chatham, a sqn of engineers helped to dismantle it and kept this fro display
camera: e-pl1
lens: panasonic 20mm f/1.7

One of my favorite photo's of my girlfriend.
Taken about 6 years ago on a moving roundabout, light was fading and I caught this photo. Unfortunately I no longer have the full size version
Never been great with a camera though, but this is the raw image and hasn't been altered at all

I'd love to do more photography, but it's finding the time to do it to get to a decent standard.
So here's a few of mine

All the Engineer Officers back at the barn were creaming themselves...it's a 'Big Deal' seeing these now apparently...we only have two left in UK and Germany - two...?
Can't be right, I thought, but apparently they were all scrapped - one of them is at the Engineer training depot for recruits to play with.
I just look at it as something to try and blow up...0 -
just 2 left? thats atrocious and a real shame. suppose thats what the LSB has done to manual bridging.0

One I took last week or so. It's a 3 shot HDR, hope you like it.

Set the camera to manual, and the shutter to bulb setting, then lock the shutter open, run in front of it, draw a stick figure with a torch, then run behind the camera again, manually fire a flashgun (twice in this case to get the right exposure) then unlock the shutter so the camera "finishes" taking the picture.
Here's an old one, my first attempt at something like it.
In that one, I set the camera to take a 30 second exposure, with a rear-curtain flash (built in flash on this one) then quickly drew the stick figure, then waited for the flash to go off.
Haha, I just noticed, you can actually see the maglite in my hand in that one!0 -

yeah, the room was nearly pitch black in the piano picture, it's lit almost entirely by the flashgun, which I manually triggered.0

nothing special on a crappy old cannon, just makes me think of holidays mmmmmm

Some photos taken a few years ago when I went travelling. All shot with an old manual 35mm so I don't have settings I'm afraid. All shot on 100ISO film though I think.
Camera is a Praktica MTL 5B and usual lens of choice is a Pentacon1.8/50
Sorry in advance for the size. I resized them once already and cba.

A few from our trip to the Lakes last week (plus some heavy-handed post-processing but that's the way I like it).

Ooh, liking the film shots. I nearly bought some slide film and a roll of black and white the other day, just to experiment.0

That reminds me of some of the work Richard Long does. Pretty cool.
Thanks, I really love shooting film and since the camera is a hand me down and I don't have £500-600 to throw at a digital SLR it will have to do. Would also love to get hold of a medium format camera, you can shoot such amazing detail with them.Current - Cotic BFe - Pike RC - XT - Hope Arch EX

Hang on, you cant afford a DSLR, but you fancy getting a medium format? Get your priorities right!0
