CFS, great pictures... that's some place.
Here's 3 from Monday's ride. The first two are taken about 2 seconds apart, just snapped and turned round and snapped them as they rode off. The last one is from about 30 minutes further down the descent, just entering the woody section, and the rider actually fell just here... no harm done and he walked back up and cleared it the 2nd time.

Where's the 'like' button? 8)How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

In February 2011 I moved to Arequipa in southern Peru. The riding here is breathtaking - in 2 ways. 1st, I now live at 2300m (a bit of a change from 60m in Oxford!) 2nd, an hour out of town and you're in the foothills of the volcanoes. There are gravel roads, single track and downhill runs criss-crossing this entire area.
This shot is from the first route I took out here, it's the start of the decent back towards a small village. The first time I rode it it took me 4 hours (altitude!) This time round, I cleared it in 2 1/2 hours. The photo reminds me what a difference time and effort can make.
Edit: can't get the pic to work, but here's a link:

Machno was pretty wet here too, back in April. This was my sister's first outing not on tarmac, she did very well and loved it to boot
