Right, thanks to an administrative cockerel-up, the last thread was accidentally deleted
I won't name names, Nick. oops!
Anyway, right, here's a thread for inspirational pictures, images that stir your soul, and urge you to go for a ride, the level of photographic technicality is irrelevant.
Here's some ground rules.
So, get posting.
There were some awesome imagesd in the last version of this, let's try and get the ball rolling again with some corkers.
Oh yeah, feel free to post a picture even if it was in the last thread. A corking shot is a corking shot.
NEW RULE:
Post a short blurb explaining WHY the image you've posted hits the spot for you.

This is for pictures that inspire, or have that special something only, not just any old snapshots of you and your mates.
The pictures should be taken by forum members ideally, not stock photos.
It doesn't matter if someone uses a cameraphone, or an EOS 1DS, as long as that picture has that special something, that's all that matters.
If you cock up when trying to post a picture, DONT keep trying and trying with new posts, go back and edit it instead. That's what the edit function is there.
And lastly, I think for ergonomical reasons, if your images are huge, then post a link to them instead. Or re-size them to roughly 800 pixels wide (I think that's near the forum limit)
So, get posting.

This picture has special significance to me as this is my journey up to my first trail ride. I was alone, feeling lost, and the adrenaline was flowing. This is the ride up to the top of Holmbury Hill at Peaslake in the Surrey Hills. I had no clue how long the road was or where I was going. Very exciting for a noob
I know it's not of a hardcore trail and it's only with a camera phone - but it's definitely got special significance as I feel like a whole new world has just opened up to me (queue music from lion king).

Good effort, apart from Jay (holy crap you look EVEN younger than I imagined!) spamming a bit, it's off to a good start.
Still, nice pics, Jay, just let others have a chance as well0 -

Is it just me, or has the actual text and images section of the forum got even narrower?
I'm reading this on my laptop and I'm thinking it looks like a hell of a lot of blank space either side of the thread.
Sure it wasn't like that a month ago :?0 -

Was for 27 years, just moved. Forest Park & Crown Wood.
I ride 1 evening after work on my way home and once at the weekend. I have a 2009 Rockhopper Comp. I have only been riding for about 8 months and built my bike up from the frame about 3 months ago, so Green is the right word for me to!
Fitness isn't the best, but I always push myself around Swinlwy. I prefer the singletrack but actively seek out the hills to work the legs
Hang on, PM me - I think we are hijacking this thread!Specialized Rockhopper Comp 2009.0 -

This shot is from my first taste of proper mountain biking in the lakes a few years back. Any shot from that trip makes me want to ride. Taken on a berm at the blue loop at whinlatter.
