been to look at the chrome "paint" you cant touch it and it is not weather safe! and it will not take a clear coat.

So same colour and black spokes.

now to find a gert big lathe to take the braking surface off.

having other thoughts as i have just had a look at the pedals i may use.

these are the same pedals just different back ground and flash no flash.

Blue or Mint? and what about the rims again.

oooh, are they reflective pedals, or is it just the effect of the flash?

very cool. If that is the final colour of the frame, I'd be tempted to go for the blue ones, and try and get the rims to match.

nope the frame is as shown the same colourish as the 2006 giant faith.

which is a beige but does not look so in the photos.

no, that's what I mean, if that beige colour is final (I keep expecting you to give in and get some snazzy pinstripe work or something) then the blue pedals would look good with it.

Still reckon the blue pedals. If you tried the others, you'd probably end up with something like my horrible brakes/pedals mish mash.

Yup, rims too provided you're going for a black or amberwall tyre.

Would be a nice colour to compliment the frame IMHO

i would say that the second pic is the closest to the actual colour.

This is a really interesting thread nicklouse - a true custom build! I reckon with the beige everywhere else, blue or orange rims would look stunning

I like the frame colour. More of a putty than a beige. And another vote for the blue pedals and rims. Looking good.
    Happy trails.

Right, spent some time trying to see if we could get a colour match to the pedals. Nope.

so went for a non metalic one similar.

Went to see the man with the big lathe. cant do it for 4 weeks. time to get the file out.

Well as some of you will have read i started on the rims last night.

well today I bought a Black and Decker Mouse as a file would have taken a very very long time.

well the Mouse would have takes a very long time as well, so out came the angle grinder with the fine flap wheel on it.

True. It needs red forks to carry that off...
