i went there yesterday morning and was too much ice to have a proper ride, so headed over and rode the Darren DH instead.

i rode up from cwmbran and that side of the mountain was fine. my mate rode up from cwmcarn car park and he said that it was still pretty much un rideable in places. i met him at the top of the climb and there was still loads of ice around.

yeah its no fun in the ice, gotta ride too tentatively, its taking forever to defrost up there, would have been fine if we didnt have that one day of rain, just aswell there are so many better natural tracks around to play with

just done a night ride at Cwmcarn this evening, only a few sketchy icy bits - on the whole it was all good carpark and crossing tarmac bits were the worst.

yeah, i rode up from cwmbran, did the descents at cwmcarn and then looped back up the fireroad from the bottom of cwmcarn so i could have a play at upper cwmbran and there was no ice at all there and the ground was frozen so it was rolling real fast and flowy

i'm actually away in tenerife visiting the gf's parents for most of christmas, but i'm back on the 28th and plan to get at least 1 ride in before i get back to work.....keep in touch

i might try and get out for a quick ride around a local route, i was supposed to meet itsmy game today (sorry i didn't text you mate) but i was going on my works do, then i wasn't, then the trains weren't running, then they were, then work cancelled it

didn't find out until about 2pm i wasn't going and by then i'd lost all enthusiasm for going riding, sorry dude :oops:
