Oh Bondage, Up Yours by X Ray Specs. Guess who's been listening to the punk stuff on the BBC. It did make me pedal a bit harder on my way in this morning.
I'd like to get to know you.

    Your deodorant smells nice.

    And, TBH,
I met this guy - and he looked like he might have been a hat check clerk at an ice rink.
Which, in fact, he turned out to be.

    Oh boy. Right. Again.

Worrying bit is that I don't need the vinyl - it's all in my head.

Last night got bored, remembered all my old 7" have been in Sarf Lahndan for a long time, & found big noise from the jungle on youtube.

Had Minnie Riperton - inside my love stuck in my head for a while.

Best not to sing the lyrics in the office...

"With your hands on your head , Or on the trigger of your gun"

Very nice, don't mind that type of earworm at all....

    Kaum einen Hauch...
  • The entire Simon and Garfunkel collection but especially that Harlot Cecilia.

Apologies to anybody between South Croydon and Tate Modern who may have been subjected to the horrendous noise being emmited from my mouth. Twas the earworm taking control.

Thanks to Mitch Ben, both my son and I have had The Bouncy Druids for the last week.

    The lyrics are quite good

Not like the druids in that film with Edward Woodward

Today I have mostly been earwormed by:

    The eye receives the messages
And sends them to the brain.
No guarantee the stimuli must be perceived the same

My daughter is suddenly "into" One Direction. I won't be cruel enough to link to ANY of their annoyingly catchy songs, but I need medication.

Anyone else got "chariots of fire" as their ear worm after Friday night?

Worst thing is it makes me pedal in slow motion........

    I'm here all week......

Yeah. Clash were right to do it, but Junior Murvin did it better.

I must say that's a completely justifiable reaction. No court in the land would convict given such provocation.

Mostly hearing the muffled basslines drifting over the river from Reading today. Expect we'll be out in the garden with a few beers for The Cure later. In between times I'm mostly listening to the Saint Saviour LP. One of my favourite releases this year.

Strangely enough, I'm trying to figure out who's playing at the moment - can hear it quite well from my study, but not well enough to discern who it is...

Took the youngest loon out for a push around the back of Mapledurham park earlier. Too much of a sound clash to work out who was who. Probably too early in the day for me to recognise any of the bands playing. Bit out of touch these days. Did see some punters in the centre of town who looked like they'd hard at it already. Doubt they'll make it to Monday...

You probably walked right past my house then !

I've got to go shopping, and fear Waitrose will have been stripped bare by festival hordes.
There'll probably be plenty of vegetables left, but no burgers and no beer.
