Didn't realise you were down that way. If you see a slightly perplexed, dishevelled bloke pushing a screaming boy in an orange pram, you'll know who it is...

Waitrose wasn't too bad this morning - they're pretty well drilled on these things. At least I hope that's the case as the missus is out tonight and I forgot to buy my tea earlier. Anyway, riveted as I'm sure you all are about the local goings-on, I have rather let this meander off-topic...

Regarding "My Lovely Horse", when I'm sure I know where he lives, I'll let you know.

Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle underneath the western skies

[Not the the boring flatlands of East Anglia, obv.]

On my Giant MX, let me wander over yonder
Till I see the mountains rise

I want to ride to the ridge where the West commences
And gaze at the Moon till I lose my senses...

Pappa don't you fence me in.

I get no kick from champagne.
Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all,
So tell me why should it be true
That I get a kick from UHU ?

It's way better than sniffing petrol, ya weirdos.

[Surely more folk have Earworms. We're quite friendly. We won't make much fun of your ludicrous musical tastes.]

I posted a link somewhere else about this. Common People covered by the Wurzels, it's brilliant. Trouble is my head struggles to sing in a yokel accent.

Ouch! My poor ears! That is not so much butchering a song as severing an artery and letting it bleed to death.

This afternoon I've been watching / listening to Queen at the Band Aid gig.

Talk about having the audience in the palm of your hand.

Shall be humming their greatest hits on the way home.

    Sharing the pain hasn't helped..........

Forgetting/not knowing all the words doesn't help either, it just makes it worse.

I was thinking you'd lost control there, and I'd need to wait for someone to take me - by the hand - to your residence - with a chainsaw.

    But that's great. Thankyou.

Listen to The Fall much ?

There was a gang shooting as a result of a Gangnam style dance off I believe.
