Evans caught by Sastre and Vino :?

I hope he can stay with them or his Giro may be over.

Critical moment for Basso, he has to twist the knife now in case Evans recovers later.

Sastre is absolutely baffling to me. Starts every major climb like a donkey, ends every major climb like a Derby winner.

If Evans gets dropped by this little group then surely it's over for him?

Basso to follow Nibs down the descent.

I think Basso should at least make out it looks like a hard climb.

Has he got a puncture though - how long is he riding like that? Would definitely slow him

Vino, Sastre, Evans ride past Garzelli, and Vino goes up the road solo.

How is having teammates helping Basso and not having them hurting Evans?
I can understand how they can be drafted off on flatter roads, but I can't imagine drafting is much use when climbing the Mortirolo. Wouldn't Basso go up it just as fast on his own?

Looks like it may be a wet descent initially down the other side.
