Greed is everything to do with it, you were falling over yourself so much to get this "bargain" that you didn't bother to check it properly. What's upsetting you is it's now tarnished by the fact that wheels are different so way less bragging rights, but for 2K it's still a good buy and perfectly functional. I see that the question of whether it's stolen or not hasn't come up again-If you think you're pissed off think of the guy who's bike it MAY have been. Suspect you don't want to face the prospect of being 2K down AND having no bike, double standards going on here. People are spending a lot of time giving you advice and doing your research and you are ignoring it!! Fact is you went to see it, doesn't matter what size the frame is but whether it fits you or not! Can't see what you're whinging about, 100% your fault but you don't want to accept that, 5' 12 anyone?

Why didn't you exchange them in person? It seems to me like you'll be lucky if you recieve anything.

judging by the seat height (and ignoring the saddle tilt) I wouldn't say the frame is too big. If the top tube is a bit long, you could probably get away with running a slightly shorter stem.

chain looks a bit slack though.....

Looks like the rear mech is knackered and you should only ever photograph a bike from the chainset side with the chain on the largest front chain ring.
When will this guy learn?

if he wants the wheels, then cash at handover, accept nothing else.

The OP comes on this forum, raises a topic and then gets sound advice from most posters. Completely ignores and then starts arguing with everyone.

I think the mech and chain might be something to do with the lack of cassette.

Have to wonder - the original vendor agrees several days ago (though it seems more like a month ago!) to buy the wheels back for £400 and provide a new cassette. Yet the vendor turns up with only £200 and no cassette! Why on earth couldn't he provide everything there and then?

this is the story - i sold a s-works sl 56 2007 & a cannondale 54 synapse 2007 both sram force groupsets got 3k for both bikes - my means of selling was for a 54 speed king sl2 specialised and some money left over . i know what your gonna say you had a specialised 56 - did you not spot the diff when you bought - & my answer is yes i was feeling the weight constantly couldn put my finger on it but was deep in conversation - oh well

Right, you bought having viewed and felt the product, not bothered checking it or riding it and you say you were ripped off? I think you need to realise that you bought (and were sold to) in good faith. The vendor has been more than generous in refunding you anything at all and I personally would say you owe them a public apology on here and on ebay. I would never sell anything second hand to anyone without expecting them to ride the bike or inspect it properly. If you failed to do so you have not been ripped off, you are just a fool

the Vendor is a con artist full stop - no didnt ride bike as no pedals on it

if you have loads of conersations with the vendor discussing

    the medium frame 54

    the sl2 frame

the sl wheels - that both were sl

im sorry im a guy who trusts people more than i should and in this case i learnt my lesson big time - all i say is this - if you were selling a bike and you said what this seller had told me would you give money back ??
