Unintentionally bought a wethepeople BMX. Need to smuggle this into the shed as apparently I already gave too many bikes.

Just bought myself a Crank Brothers Iodine 1 AM Riser Bar for £12 from CRC. 700mm, 30mm rise.

Ive given up on a new frame now. Ive realised that my drivetrain is on the way out now. So next on the list is a new chain, cassette, and some lube...if i can sell my bike or some other stuff.

It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Get a job 2 days per week in your summer hols, 8 hours a day, 2 days a week a £3.72 (minimum wage for 16-18 year-olds, many people will probably pay around £5) gives £60 per week, 2 weeks and you have a frame. 2 days also gives you plenty of time off.

Yep, thats what im looking to do. Im going to ask the garage i used to work at, as i have worked there for the past two summers now. To be honest my chances there are alot slimmer as they have hired someone. But still worth a try.

I worked below minimum wage there, but i did it because it was a 2 minute ride from home, i enjoyed it, and i dont really do work i would consider hard.

Picked it up tonight. Needs a (very) minor bit of maintenance, but cracking value at £30!

Also bought Lake District Mountain Biking Essential Guide. I really need to ride in The Lake District as I've only ridden Whinlatter, so I'm going to work through the book over the next couple of years.

I mean with rails as opposed to I-beam since SDG make both

About bloody time! I really haven't ridden the Cotic enough recently, too much uni work and hassle bringing bikes back an forth, cant wait to get home and blast around on it, hardtails can be so much fun!
  • Aye thats the idea. I dont ride the spesh as its just too stretched out/xc for my every day riding.

Its a 456 Summer Season (later model with ISCG tabs).
Plan on dismantling the spesh for most of the parts.

Taken ages to find the right one, wanted a summer season for quite a while - they dont come up for sale very often (not in good condition anyway!)

Excellent! They're fantastic bikes, once you ignore the fact that they weigh slightly more than the moon that is. I'm considering getting rid of the EG and building my SS back up again :D

Hence forth I'll no longer be posting in the CC and will spend my time in the roadie forum discussing how Lance is or isn't the devil, and whether or not Froomey is doping, or how acceptable it is to overtake someone while out for a ride

Actually, I'll still ride muddy bikes a bit, but intend on getting rid of EG at some point in the not too distant future, and just going back to the HT and the SS.

At least you get to take drugs while out on a ride and no one will report you.

After the past 18 months on the road bike I've treated myself to a new 650b mountain bike to have some fun off road again. Should be here the end of the week, Cube stereo 160 super HPC race. Looking forward to trying 650b wheels, slacker geometry and a carbon frame. It feels like xmas as a kid again
