Changed up a bag of coppers, and some 5/10/20p's in one of those cash dispenders.

    £160

    What to buy

Do they take a commision on the money you drop into them? We've got a demijohn in work that is slowly filling up and I'd guess not far off £100 in it.

it's something like 7 - 12% but to be honest I happily pay it as it's a massive pain to change it up in a bank.

You've been done. According to this they're worth a lot more than £160.

    This morning

No one pulled out in front of me or tried to left hook me
No one sat behind me revering thier engines
    No one sounded thier horn
    No one shouted at me
There seemed to be a lot less RLJ than normal
Buses and Taxi got out of the way at junctions
    No one blocked the ASL
No pedestrians step out in front of me
The lights seemed to be in my favour most of the time

    WTF was going on!

Maybe I was 5/10 mins earlier than normal
Maybe I had a relaxing weekend therefore I was a bit relaxed myself
Maybe people have now been paid for first time since Xmas they are a little less stressed

Well thank you all for a very nice ride in.

They were all busy going after me! I had a chap turn accross me at Parsons Green, and a kn0b un a red van attemtp to overtake me headin g up to a traffic queue in the Blackfriares underpass, and then just move left when he was half-way past.

Sorry, one for the "rants" thread really!

I'm having all sorts of problems with my left knee at the moment, I'm out of shape and struggling with the commute - but you know... the ride home tonight :D

I saw more cyclists in my village than I normally see in a week of commuting, all riding sensibly and cars being very patient.

I had innumerable drivers (with the exception of a learner driver x2) patiently waiting behind me and safely overtaking with a wave from them (and me :) ) I even had one chap waiting to pull out from a drive: look at me, notice me seeing HIM and him giving a small tap on the horn and a friendly wave and a smile.

I had a cheery evening off two guys cycling I passed - the first of which stopped and adjusted his rear light when I warned him it was being covered by his coat.

I was utterly shattered when I got home but I had the biggest smile on my face :D

Bumped into an old colleague and commuter on the NKR this morning. Hadn't seen him in more than a year. Most enjoyable and welcomed the company.

Thanks to all drivers on my route from Balham to Park Lane and return earlier today, including the Hyde Park roundabout. No close shaves, no left or right hooks.

Not sure if it was my superb cycling skills or the fact I was in a dress, leggings and boots. 8) :D

CW are you cleverly hinting that your attire today is attributed to the fact it's your birthday?

if so many happy returns, which is it? 21st?

Lets get a few things sorted. Yesterday was CWs birthday and she was wearing a special outfit for the evening. In conclusion CW was wearing her birthday suit, unfortunately that means zero chance of pics then :(

Yup. I got thrown out of Boots on the weekend. A woman by the makeup counter came up to me with a clipboard and asked which grooming products I used. Apparently "Facebook, Haribo and puppies" isn't an appropriate answer.
