Sorry nicklouse, but I can't help but notice that the machine your avatar is riding is looking decidedly heavy for a tarmac speed-machine. And yet you're posting in the 'road' forum.....

Aren't we meant to be ganging up on the MTB'ers though? They're the real enemy with their mud-speckled, suspension ladled MACHINES OF DOOM.

Well the commuting forum does seems to have a chip on there shoulders about 'roadies'.

Need to show them the error of their ways.

I disagree, never encountered any anti roadie feeling, in fact most "what bike should I get" threads usually end up deriding people for fearing drops and telling them to get a road bike.

+1 the commuting section seems to have an awful lot of roadies just going fast on weightless machines at a different time of the day,

and a few fat knackers like me on our scaffolding and concrete hybrids

I was going to ask about keeping my hat clean in the road section somewhere but I always get a freindly answer from the commuting crowd.

Plus I cant be a roadie because my wife wont let me out at weekends. I have to commute to do any riding. (any riding  )

After following Lost in Thoughts 7 postings on this thread over the past few days, I've been enchanted by his/her playful charm, wit and gentle flirtation involving transvestite men and song titles (as well as the charming picture where you look slightly piratey ).

I recently posted a lonely hearts ad, do you like it?

I'm looking for a fun loving friend, with a great
love of cycling and musical theatre, I love my car, and bought it a
rack which can meet all of my needs. Hopefully you enjoy a good fu-
silli pasta, I home make much of it myself as I am a master of coo
cking and do it regularly. But just read lines 1, 3 and 5.

Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.

Fair question though. Why do you cake stop lot all seem to put so much effort obsessing over LiT? There are other women on the website...

    To clrify, I'm a dude.

In fact we should have a who's female thread, but you have to submit a photo to prove it...
