nice, i do like the shin protector bit. i have 661 evo knee pads, great pads but no shin protection.
i also have 661 race elbow pads, they look a bit like your knee pads but white and for the arms, they are very stormtrooper to be honest lol

  • I have just bought these ( from my local LBS )
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=3539

    But I have these
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=2734
but they slide down my skinny legs so the knee bit ends up under my knee
I love these though as I ride flatties and scrape my shins a lot

I've not worn knee/shin combo before but I know from riding in cheap shin pads in the Peaks years ago that even though I never really needed them, the confidence it gives you is a real boost. I wanted something inexpensive and not too garish as I'll be wearing them over my bib tights. Hope they're comfy or they'll be going back. :?

  • Gaffa tape is ok for ladies to use, no hairs on leggies, but imagine on the average hairy bloke, you'd scream more than a birthing lady

I just got some new flat peddles because the my feet fall off the side of the ones that came on my bike. Also got shin guards because of the crazy pins on them :/

why DO ladies scream when giving birth? It's not like it hurts or anything.......

    (cue controversial debate....)

my legs are smoother than yours, but that's another story.........

nice pins on those peddles. i have flats as well, after a while you stop noticeng the pain in the shins, first sign youve hurt yourself is when sombody else points out youve got blood running down your legs

They look like the DMR V12's I have on my Hardtail and I can report that scraping your shins down them is NOT to be recommended :D

Good job I'll be wearing my safety glasses then

@stumpym4 - it is an XC ride, but from memory there's a rocky section on the run down from Jaggers Clough to the road and if it's wet and I come off I'd rather not cave my knees in on the rocks.... they're knackered enough as it is. It's also a confidence thing (for me anyway).

  • My theory is, If i pad up I'll be carrying more weight so I can blame my excess weight for my slowness, hence the padding up lol.
