You'll know it when you get there and see the trail again. For Peak District virgins I guess any route will be a good run out, you can't get anywhere around there without lung busting ups and grin inducing downs.

It's a £12 one off Ebay, there was a thread on here devoted to the £12 mini dv cam, it isn't bad for what it costs.

The train is ok once you get away from Blackburn, but being a single female with a £600 bike , WILL get mugged for it , we got followed by some lads one time when we trained it once before :(

All done Roo, it's in the skydrive section, part of the route was the original return on the left of the reservoir (the third hill) which we didn't do by crook hill otherwise it's correct.

Hello all. Ignore my post from last night about myself and a pal going for a ride in the peaks on the 13th of this month. Turns out he can't make that day and he is the one with roof bars on his car so i've got no way of getting there. We will make it up there at some point though so will give you all a shout when we do.

At the minute, Llandegla is looking like Saturday 10th April as phoebian is the only person to have expressed a preference. Either works for me.

    Llandegla date confirmed!!!

    Saturday 10th April 2010.

What time is good for everyone? I appreciate that those of you on the West (wrong) side of the Pennines will be able to get there earlier than I can but I think I could happily get there for 9-9.30 in the am.....?

I'm hoping that there will be time to do a lap of the Red, have an play on the Skills Park and do the Red again, those who know the place and who have experienced my lack of fitness for themselves may like to comment of whether this is realistic or not.

Sounds good from this end :D...we can get there at the easiest time for everyone as we have to set off bloody early as the car is sooooo slow lol .
I don't think I could do 2 laps of the red, probs do a red, then skills play then blue, that initial climb does tak quite a lot out of my little legs.
