YES, I've just been to the pub and had my first alcoholic drink for 10 months :D

NO, I'm not checking the weather anymore.

    NO, I don't like Haribo.

YES, I think the full body armour is overkill.

YES, you can bring your dogs as long as you (a) keep them on a lead and (b) pick up after them.

YES, it's quiet here tonight, but that's because the women are poorly.

NO, I haven't sorted my gears out yet, but I have cleaned it and it's waiting the the chain to be put back on and lubed.

@Ndawn, can you post your train times pls so Richie can arrange to pick you up.

@rottitera02 - that's the best excuse we've seen yet. None of this "I've got the snuffles" bollocks....

    Nite all.

i think some of the older Marzocchis are the best out there , my lad has a pair that i bought in 2004 !! , and they are still lovely , and thats without being serviced !!
Some of the 08 and 09 forks were trouble some due to them moving production to the far east !!!

Home for the weekend + Monday! Looking forward to Sunday!
  • Well I've just burnt my index finger today at work. If it doesn't get better by Sunday I'll have to move the brake lever so I can brake with the next one !

Really looking forward to this :D

Just a quick heads up for anyone coming from Manchester etc the A57 Snake Pass is still closed.See here:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/travel/roads_01.shtml
I've been on the phone to the visitor centre at Fairholmes( a mate wants to ride there tomorrow) and was told this:
The pass is shut from just below the Ladybower Inn to Glossop, however you can go around the closed sign to get to the Visitor centre where there is "wet snow".
Here in Sheffield its rained buckets the past few days which may well have fallen as snow on the high ground around Ladybower so it'll either be icy/snowy or very, very, very wet and muddy :D

Enjoy it out there chaps 8)

  • Greetings from the dark side.

We might see you guys on the trials. There's 3 of us setting off from where the buses turn round in Bamford at 9.30, heading round Derwent Valley, if we get to the carpark for 10, we'll say hello if you're still there.

Bit of practise for the BHF Robin Hood ride in a couple of weeks time.

I'll be on the Blue Giant "Rock" (complaining about the mud and total lack of tarmac). I must remember to dig out the peak for my helmet

    Have fun everyone

if you look closely (ok not even that closely) there not standing on each other but on a fence, so we just have to keep an eye out for a fence/style or nice rocky surface, though i think it will be more dangerous deviding up the loot if we win than actully doing this :D

Greetings. This is also training for 3 of us for the BHF Robin Hood ride. I was hoping to get the roadie out today and get some miles in but the weather has been shite and I got caught up in town. Hope to see you Sunday :D

PS. I wear a peaked helmet, baggies and a camelbak for the Road as well

  • Am going to go and see if i can sort me bloody forks out, if i don't get 'em sorted i'll have to put on the rockshoc j4's.

The marzocchi's have bled oil out from the air valve as i unscrewed the fork pump !!!!!!

I think it could be worn inner seals....wot you think guys ?

  • I've packed me waterproofs already, they live in my backpack....only Regatta's finest waterproofs for me

  • Ahh a brolly could be a good idea, if the wind is behind you up a climb, you could use the brolly as a sail and get a lift uphill
