The new trail by me has suffered a bit, coz since it was built we've not had the rain to settle it :(.....plus the chavs have rode it and skidded the length of it and there has been a moto or two on it too.
The new traikl has been finished now but I've yet to see it, but heard there's boardwalk and a small jump going THROUGHa tree !
Gonna go up next week and have a snoop :D

Not yet mate, we need suggestions as to what people want included on it and someone with a flair for graphic design to put it together  . PuddleRider says he knows a guy who can print onto Coolmax shirts for us at not much cost and there's the Endura custom printing option which has been suggested so there's lots to consider but the first job is to try to get a rough design together and see what people think....

SO..... what would you like to see on the shirt? So far, when PuddleRider and I have been discussing this, we have said we would like to see the Slow Rides logo on the front and also on the back but down at the bottom so it can still be seen whilst wearing a camelbak. I also want to see the Bike Radar logo on it somewhere..... what else?

@ Cheshley..........maybe the chainreactions logo seeing as most of us use them for parts......

The large slow ride logo on front with bikeradar logo underneath.

The slow rides logo on rear at btm as suggested by yourself.

A small crc logo on each shoulder/arm.

I don't know if the next suggestion would be financiably viable...depends on how much extra, but each riders bikeradar name on under the crc logo on shoulder.

There is food for thought Ches.....

OR another idea is that the design the basic shirt with Slow RIdes and Bike Radar logos and then people can add to their own shirt as they see fit (T-Shirt transfer sheets can be bought of Ebay for a couple of quid). My thinking is that I would like a Specialized logo on mine, but that would not be suitable for Rottie as he doesn't ride one. As long as people have the same basic design it can then be taillored to the rider.

Plain iron on transfer sheets, you print what you want on them from any normal ink-jet printer (don't forget to flip the image so it prints in reverse) and you (or a nearly woman who knows how it works) irons it onto the shirt.

You also need to make sure that you buy the right transfer sheets cos apparently they are different depending on whether you're putting them on a white or dark coloured shirt

Can you use the normal ink already in the printer or would it have to be a waterproof kind of ink ??

Just thinking of when the shirts get washed !!!!

Remember that the transfer sheets are A4 in size so you'll be printing a number of things onto a sheet, cutting them up and applying them here and there.

Did the Werewolf drop for the first time today! Then promptly fell off twice in quick succession as my front end slid out in the dust on the last section of follow the dog.

Looked in the mirror when I got back in the car.....I don't know how you kept a straight face talking to me Roo as that dust moustache was quite comical!

On the shirt idea, I'm a big fan of the coolmax material so that would get my vote.

Hope the guys and girls doing Cannock tomorrow have a great day!

Hiya Nalla, sounds like you've had a good day. I like the Coolmax stuff too but to get it done by PuddleRider's contact to do it or us depends on us all agreeing the same design..... People could still personalise their own afterwards I suppose. I'm going to talk to Mike about it on Tuesday anyway.

i have some cycle jersey templates somewhere. one of the companies who can make thm up sent them to me so i could work up a design

if we were having them printed i think there might be problems with copyright on the logos (bikeradar, crc)

if were sticking them on ourselves, i dont think it would be as much of a problem

also im working on a new tortoise on a bike image, its taking time though as i only do bits of it now and agian

I have message'd the Bike Radar Office forum and asked if we can put the logo on the tops but I don't expect a response until after the weekend. I'm sure an email to any companies that we want to put on them would suffice, I can't see CRC tuning down free advertising.

I think this is something that is going to take a while to decide on so we need to:

    (a) decide on whether we are all going to have the same shirt or have the basic Slow Rides design and let people personalise their own;

    (b) work out a rough design

    (c) ask Mike to show his contact the design and also see what Endura can do, with costings (I think Mike said his bloke was looking at £15 per shirt)

I'm favouring the idea of a basic Slow Rides shirt that people can then do what they want to, but I would have to find out if the Transfer Sheets can be used on Coolmax material as thy need to be ironed on at high temperature and I'm not sure if Coolmax will like that. Might be something to ask Mike's contact if he does this kinda thing often......
