    Beef, fish, peanut butter

My list of food hates is long, but those are my top three.

Manchego is just so damn salty and rather too strong. Or I've always had really rubbish ones. Could be either.

It is salty, but its less salty than some such as Roquefort, Gorgonzola or any blue cheese. And also less salty than Parmesan or any kind of goats cheese. There are probably more though but haven't got a complete list.

It is also just as salty as 90% of the cheeses out there though (Cheddar, Camembert, Gruyere...)

I have just been in my local Sainsbury's where they are still marking down the Xmas specific items. I couldn't resist a small 'Basic' Xmas cake for 37p. Must be worth at least 45p I reckon. Made from a few bits of fruit and the sweepings off the floor , or something equally tasty.

LOL, good one :) I actually made in on the spot after looking at the salt contents of 20 cheeses and manchego being normal.

About paella, every person has likes and dislikes, haven't they?

My nomination, if only for sheer pointlessness: 'instant' versions of things that don't need to be. Absolute worst for this: bags of salad. Runners up: instant custard (mixing powder and milk must be so hard!!), instant porridge (no quicker than using proper oats), not forgetting Yorkshire puddings. I have never and will never use these abominations, didn't even in my student days...

SCR trip to St John in Smithfield? Vegetarians not welcome

This be one of those exclusive, have to be part of the in-crowd/clique SCR events then or is there a thread inviting all comers?

I remember the good'ole'days when anything SCR was for everybody and 'everyone was welcome'.

    PM darlings.

Vimto in anything but water is a crime and even then it should be sarsaparilla.

Brown shoes, is too close to ghey for my liking. But I'm getting old. Oxford's for the weekday and Brogues for the weekend is my idea of fashion these days...

seasoned raw meat or undercooked meat has very little taste, flavour or spice. I like my food hot, peppered, spicy and flavoursome. This means it has to be cooked down. I'll have my meat medium but that is a far as I go.

Sushi is just criminal. It's a fad, like skinny jeans.

I've just seen the menu, amazing a restaurant with exactly nothing that I would or even could eat.

One group I'm glad to leave to its exclusivity.

It's got to be a decent one (just like cheddar) or it tastes crap. You probably don't like it because it's a sheeps cheese and therefore quite strong and manly :D I love the 2 years matured one, yummy!
