    Abus win-r 2 helmets:

    Small/med ice grey £8.55
    Large Raspberry... £8.21

Tredz etc knocking them out for £50.
Granted it may not fit, but I believe it to be free returns, so not an issue in my book.

Their site lists their Liscio bikes at 31lbs. Shocked at how heavy they are!

Yup - must be wrong as mine weighs 8kg on the nail which I think is about 17.6lbs

That includes mudguards and bottle holders and pedals

  • Actually makes me wonder if that weight is the package weight for shipping. The wheel weight is wrong too.

I hoped it would be a typo, quite unusual to see weights quoted, you'd think if they're going to quote weights then they wouldn't undersell themselves by almost doubling it!

They have mudguard fixings on those Volagis, but is there plenty of clearance in the real world? Actually finding myself tempted!

I guess so. I'm running 25s with Chromoplastics and they're fine. They take a bit of length adjustment of the supports and I shortened the front guard a fair bit but they are problem-free once fitted.

    Shouldn't look at this thread!

Just worked out that the Liscio Rival would only be £1378.

Want but can't afford to scratch that n+1 itch right now, must wait for the Dollar to weaken or Stirling to strengthen, damn fiscal stimulus could mess that up for years.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
  • .... must wait for the Dollar to weaken or Stirling to strengthen.....

Well if Stirling strengthens, they may get ahead of Berwick Rangers. You might be better off waiting for Sterling to strengthen

The Volagis come from the US don't they? So there's a chance of import duty?

The price they quoted me was duty-paid. I think it was slightly above the US retail price

Not quite bargain prices but Shutt have a couple of bundle offers that look tempting. Does anyone know if their club bibs are good?

I have some shutt bibs and a gilet. I like the styling and the whole made in Britain thing but in all honesty they just aren't up to the same quality as the Castelli stuff I have. I had a sportwool jersey that was really nice but I sold it as it was too small. £100 for a bib and jersey is a good price.

I've got a pair of them. They're definitely better than the usual dhb kit so 2 for £69 seems like a fairly good deal, given that dhb Aerons are £42 each (including discount).

Others seem to like them but I'm not keen on mine, though they may have changed them since I bought them in 2011. Not great pad, haven't worn that well compared with other kit of similar age. My DHB shorts are better and were a similar price.

    +1
Have both DHB and Shutt, prefer DHB. The Shutt bibs were bought in a sale when they were about £35 down from £80, but doesn't feel like a bargain particularly.

maybe i'll just stick with my tried and tested gore bibs...
  • Have a pair of the below after Shutt messed up my order and as a goodwill gesture upgraded me for free from club to pro bib shorts, they are very good and would definitely buy from Shutt again

Thought these were reasonable deals £100 down to £60:

Whop any other 2 sale items in the basket and get another 15% off with the code - you could even take the other items back in store for a refund.

I'm looking for a pair of shoes for my commute. I have 2 sided M324 pedals (flat on one side, SPD cleats on the other). £60 is probably the top of what I can afford at the moment.

You reckon these are as good a sale deal as I'm likely to get?

www.cyclestore.co.uk normally have a pretty decent selection of heavily reduced stuff if you're in a lucky size.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

Bought one for the missus, didn't come with arm warmers and CRC sent the international size, not the UK size, despite me checking with them first which size was quoted :(

To be fair, they dont say it comes with arm warmers, merely "Matching warmers and the UV protection make it versatile" - suggesting an additional purchase. Its a little ambiguous, as you could read it that they are included but I think precise analysis of the wording tells you they are not.

That doesnt excuse them about misinformation on sizing - at least returns are free and easy though.

Think it should come with armwarmers - previous year's models definitely used to.
