Came across SmartWool socks in TKmaxx last week. They had few different styles and sock length in. the ones I got were £7.99, instead of the 'RRP' of 20. They are pretty thick, and if I remember right 84% merino wool! They were nice and warm last week in 6-8 degrees, although still felt a little cold in my toes at end of ride, but that's more to do with wearing Giro Factors, albeit with windproof overshoes.0

Anyone built up their bargain Dedacciai Pista yet? Got mine posted to my parents so only got to have a look at it this weekend. I'm not sure whether I'm disappointed that it doesn't have the cable braze ons that were shown in the pic on the wiggle site. Also, the welds don't look that amazing and the logo on the downtube isn't on quite straight. It is rather light though. Started buying bits to build it up but don't think I'll have it built 'til after xmas...Ribble Audax - FCN 5

It looks exactly the same as the tool kits Lidl had a few months ago, only it was £25!! £80+ RRP is a joke!0 -

Yeah, was thinking that. Either bargain of the century at £25 or a massive rip off at £80Ribble Audax - FCN 5

How unfair, this one has the word Draper printed on. Completely different.
If it had the words Park Tools printed, the RRP would be £200.0 -

Mine may get built this weekend. Have a carbon fork to put on it. Although tempted by the idea of a disc fork.
Not 100% about the headset either - may get something else.
If you want cable guides - you can get these from SJS: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/m:part-self- ... prod13059/ - the cable ties are too short though, you'll need longer.
Mine looks good - logo is straight, paint job is good, looks lovely. Finishing kit will be Deda as well - seatpost/stem/bars.
Sram brakes and chainset, Tektro black levers for the moment.http://www.georgesfoundation.org

Ah yes! I saw this idea of fixie discs being bandied about... Sounds like a good spec!
I think I'm going for an FSA front brake, Cane Creek crabon TT lever, FSA MX orbit headset and Profile airwing bars, Deda stem and seatpost, V sprint wheels (miches and DP18 in black), stronglight 2000 chainset I think too.
Also, want to get a set of proper track bars so it's just a case of removing the bullhorns and front brake to have it trackworthy... Don't think it'll be built up 'til around xmas though.
Edit - Oh and I'd like to see pics of yours when it's done! Especially with the carbon forks, I rather like the idea of a pair of these on there: http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-t ... GooglebaseRibble Audax - FCN 5

Rucksack cover at £9.99
http://www.moremile.co.uk/product.asp?s ... P_ID=40480
very similar to the hump on, but half the price.
Also, i got my Tourmalet jersey through the other day, looks very warm. Initially ordered a Medium which was a little baggy, so returned it for a Small, which s now much better and a snug fit. Only thing I would have preferred is a high collar, but that's being picky. For £20 it's a bargain.0 -

Bike Components have them for about 550 quid a pair, Shimano as well as Campagnolo freehub bodies. Not wishing to sound rude, but I do hope posters would ran at least a cursory check on the interweb before posting "bargains".0 -
Lightweight Down Gilet. no good for the bike, but perfect for sitting around outside not getting cold, wonder if it would stuff in the back pocket

In fairness to the OP (and then me I guess who commented on the post), a cursory check (ie a google search) show prices ranging from £733 to £1049. Bike Components do not show on my google search. I think your post would have not sounded rude if you hadn't added the slightly sanctimonious wording at the end of the above sentence . Some good multi-tools on there also, plus if you really want to look like the scruffy girl off the Cycle Show you can buy some of her kit cheap too, including the wonderfully-named "Her Pleasure" armwarmers"Mummy Mummy, when will I grow up?"

I daresay that I'm not alone among bargain-hunters in thinking that checking any and all prices against Bike Components (as well as Bike-Discount and Bike24) is routine and not over the top. This is assuming of course that this is not a thread about UK bargains.0 -
