I've had the 1000 for years and it's been pretty solid in terms of recording rides. It's not great if you want directions somewhere busy like central London as the map struggles to load. It went mental and wiped itself once but that aside, maybe only one messed up ride in thousands of uses.

Re: battery life. If you dim the screen down and don't have bunch of sensors on it's fine.I did a ride that was 7 hours and still had about 50% left, only one ant+ device in use.

The Amazon bundle is without the cadence sensor, so I think they work out at roughly the same. Good deals though, although I still haven't found a compelling reason to upgrade from my 800 yet. The only thing I'd like would be to upload rides without having to connect to my computer, but it's not worth buying a new one just for that.

Ditto. My 800 has been so reliable for the past seven years that I struggle to see beyond it at the moment. Battery life and reliability remain excellent.

    Tritto (?!)
Early days it had a wobble - but it's been fine for the last erm ... 6+ years. It would be nice to see text messages - sometimes and it certainly would be nice to upload without having to plug it in. Looking at the Wahoo units, the screens are much crisper ... but it's not worth replacing the unit until it breaks - and even then, if Garmin are still doing it - an Out of Warranty replacement is ~£80 ...

Still getting used to my 810, but battery died after about 6 hours' riding last week. Battery life was never an issue with my 500. Probably need to dull screen, turn off Bluetooth etc. Any other tips gratefully accepted.

I'm waiting for the one wit Fluro bits to come down in price.

That's also not the 365 variant, although the Gore one has a more fitted cut versus the 365.
The 365 has some other tweeks, unzippable in both directions, one rear pocket, and altered cuffs, and also velcro adjustability for the collar.

Is it the same one Wiggle have for £121 (the "active")? Confused with all the Gore name changes but there are just two types, the Active and then a year later the 1985?

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gore-bike-wear- ... ve-jacket/

Evans have got the 1985 one for £105 after knocking the £10 off spends over £100:

More importantly, why do I need one when I've already got an unworn Rapha Rain Jacket & Sportful Hotpack 5. Please stop me accumulating more stuff. Curse this thread.

My mistake. It isn't that clear, the 1000 specifically mentions the cadence sensor in the title. Good deal! :)

I just keep the screen brightness fairly low and end up charging it about once a week which is typically about 8 hours of riding.

They've price matched Wiggle, but I've just ordered a pair through "click and collect" to use my BC discount, so ~£50.40 to pay.

Now just need to pick them up and get some decent dry weather (tomorrow more likely than this afternoon) to fit them with the latex tubes that arrived yesterday and see what a more premium setup feels like over 28mm Grand Sport Races and bog standard Vavert(?) 28-38mm tubes!

Neo is £999 at Halfords, will delivery to pay in store, so if you have BC discount. Bang.

Now back down to £999.99 at Halfords They also have the Tacx Flux for £555.

The Tacx Neo Smart Turbo Trainer is now £987.55 at Halfords. This isn't marked as an internet exclusive, so British Cycling members should be able to get another 10% off with click and collect.

This trainer is £12 more at Chain Reaction, but the 10% discount is definite, so it's £899.99 for British Cycling members.

    lol, why thankyou :D

Pretty vague about the model eh, but could be a good buy I guess!

There was 3 when I opened the link, then it went down to 2 whilst I was on the page, and now down to 1.

Far too roomy for moi anyhow, and the Gore cut has never really worked for me for some reason, either top or bottom half.

At TKMaxx, I noticed POC ladies shirts in medium if of interest:

    https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/women/acti ... p/07011684

    https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/women/acti ... p/07011402

    £20 & £25 rather than £125 & £150. Ordering one for Mrs Lex.

There have been quite a few Gore items on there in the last fortnight, but sell out very quickly, as DanielB noticed on the given example.
