OK a helmet and not the giant crossbow kinda thing right? If you do find the giant crossbow thing for that money it's a good deal indeed!

Oh yeah, the helmet. Still looking for a good deal on some medieval weaponry. Think I'll have to wait for Black Death Friday.

Leaning towards this for a new road bike unless a great deal pops up this week. But heavy at 9.1kg I think, mainly down to wheelset?

Any big cons I'm missing, or other good options? Need something 58 or 60cm.

Now £1000, same as last year's main EOL price, only a few like me got a £100 off promo code when there were literally a few left.

The 58cm works for me, I'm 5'10" with ~32.5" cycling inseam (big torso and short legs for height).

You like it? Still recommend getting one?

Pangolin. I bought 2016 Cube. It's a great bike. Yes, the wheels put on a few pounds but i'm not all that bothjered for a commuter and the rest of the bike is great.

I'm 6'2" and am on the 60cm frame. I think they size up a little as i'm normally on a 58cm frame.

Don't say that, it's coming back in Africa I believe. Black death that is. Medieval is the latest thing!

I love it, I rate it higher than my green 1997 Principia RSL and blue 2005 Felt F5C.

Some decent discounts here. Bit of a mixed bag of stuff but some of the Spokesman gear looks good value. Have taken a punt on some of the bib shorts as a Christmas present for someone (unless they are so nice that I'm forced to keep them for myself)

No, but I did have one in my basket and tried to checkout, but it went OOS before I could :(

  • Can highly recommend the 7mesh clothing in the cyclesurgery sale. I bought the synergy jersey for ~£60 on sale last year and it is a brilliant bit of kit so £21 is just bonkers.

Damn. Thanks for the review, I was looking at that but it's only in small and medium :-(
And it's £19 using the code!

Can't spot that on the site and the code doesn't seem to work for me. Anybody else use it? Would be annoying to have missed it.

Cyclesurgery - what a crap website - looks all fancy - although you waste a lot of real estate ... but it's returning 0 products on whatever I look for - and I've tried two browsers ...

Yeah, it's a frisking awful site.
It looks like they've sold out of everything "good" now - I've seen things "disappear" between refreshes, assuming that their stock system runs life and prevents display of things they don't have in stock - no spokesman stuff shows up for me now.

Personally I like the Mavic kit, especially their jackets.

Unable to get that code to work for me, looks like it is withdrawn.

Fortunately the CXR 60's went out of stock whilst I was researching them.
    That's £900 I just saved right?!

  • Totally unrelated, but i'm feeling smug!

Just popped into the Tesco near my work for some wine. They're doing their "buy 6 get 25% off" thing.

The price stickers on their Tesco finest wine was still showing "Buy 2 for £12", including their £9 a bottle Faugeres. "Billy Bargain" thought I, that'll come to £4.50 a bottle with both deals. I bought 22 bottles of wine, most of which was from their Finest range.

My bill came to about £112 for the wine, including the 25% discount but not the 2 for 12 discounts (which apparently ended before the 25% offer began). The very nice lady at the customer service desk accompanied me to the relevant aisles, checked the price stickers and my receipt and then summoned her manager, who somehow worked out that i was due a £100 refund!! :o:lol:

£12 for 22 bottles of decent wine... OK then!

After reading that maths fail by the manager (enjoy your wine btw! ), I feel a lot better about my maths fail from earlier, when I thought (without checking on Google) that ~1200 feet of climbing on my commute home would give me the ~500m I needed to complete Strava's November Climbing Challenge!

I'm still trying to decide if my OCD will let me let it lie until tomorrow, or whether to pop back out again and get the extra ~410 feet I need over a ~3 miles ride on Witts Hill, out of principal.

No worries. Been some real bargains on there amongst all the rubbish. Worth keeping an eye on for the rest of the week. Ordered some of the Liv 3/4 tights today as a Christmas present for a female cycling relative. Don't forget that Topcashback works for Cycle Surgery too!

Apologies if that is classed as being greyist.
