Bought a LS one in anthracite to match my SS one. Great tops and less bulky compared to the Gabba.

Eh? It IS a Gabba. They just changed the name of the long sleeve version.

Did the same, except my SS is blue. That's me done. So, how do you hide this thread...

    Is it exactly the same?

One of the reviews on Sigma Sport suggest it is a bit different.

    I've bought one anyway.

    I may be wrong.

I bought the Perfetto Light 2 which is definitely thinner than my Gabba 3.

If the LS Perfetto is thicker (no description of ‘Light’), then I assume it is a renamed LS Gabba...

Annoying if true since I’d prefer the thinner fabric of the Perfetto 2 Light.

Yup AP is on the nose, I made the same discovery - at least with Sigma, IIRC, you have free returns.

Yes - Castelli confused everyone. they introduced the short sleeve Perfetto Light, which is (obviously) lighter.

Then they renamed the long sleeve and convertible Gabbas to Perfetto, whilst leaving the iconic short sleeve Gabba with the original name. They also renamed the Fawesome Gilet as the Perfetto Gilet but its lighter than the short sleeve Perfetto light on the back but Gabba material on the front.

If you want a long sleeve lighter than the Gabba then the Alpha Jersey is your best choice - its superb.

F*ck, they've shot up in price.

I'm sure you could get the frameset for £550 prior to brexit.

Leaning towards this for a new road bike unless a great deal pops up this week. But heavy at 9.1kg I think, mainly down to wheelset?

Any big cons I'm missing, or other good options? Need something 58 or 60cm.

I can confirm the LS Perfetto is NOT a LS Gabba.

Received mine today and my Gabba 3 is definitely thicker and thus warmer.

Not sure I agree with this. Picked mine up as well - feels like a LS Gabba. I have a Gabba 2 though. Either way, feels great - will put a few miles on it tomorrow

    From their own mouths:

    PERFETTO LONG SLEEVE

    IT’S HARD IMPROVING ON PERFECTION
Last year's version of this jacket was called the Gabba Long Sleeve Jacket, but with Winter 2016 we're going back to reserving the Gabba name for the original Gabba short sleeve jersey/jacket. We kept hearing so many people call the long-sleeve version of the Gabba as “perfect,” so we’ve renamed it the Perfetto Jacket and set about improving on perfection. We’ve improved the water-repellent finish so it will keep you drier without affecting breathability. We’ve refined the fit. We’ve laser cut the drain holes in the pockets. And we’ve totally redone the splash flap on the back to make it lie flatter and fit better. The reflective logo back there keeps you visible.

So its been tweaked, in the same way the Gabba 2 and 3 were, but essentially still the Gabba Long Sleeve.
  • It’s Gore X-lite. Same overall fabric composition. Minor tweaks. It’s a Gabba.

Now £1000, same as last year's main EOL price, only a few like me got a £100 off promo code when there were literally a few left.

The 58cm works for me, I'm 5'10" with ~32.5" cycling inseam (big torso and short legs for height).
