These are actually pretty decent bars; I have the 38cm ones on all my daughter's bikes, and wider ones on my commuter...

eugh i really hate PX but for £13 i think i doubt i'll find anything as cheap.

    £4 postage
  • https://www.rutlandcycling.com/bikes/ro ... rey_373882 Now £1090 with SAVE100 promo code.

Prices on some PX stuff have dropped, not just in the Fib Sale section, but elsewhere too. Worth a quick look eg. Vittoria Hypers £13 again in larger widths.

Can anyone comment on the durability / puncture resistance of these tyres?

I wasn't impressed with the Corsa G+, the grip on damp/wet roads was atrocious and they wore down pretty quickly too. I've changed to michelin power endurance and they seem far better.

Hadn't come across this before this week, but Carradice now have a factory seconds store on E-bay:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/carradicefac ... 7675.l2559

Not a lot there, but quite cheap for minor faults (eg badge not centred)

I bought some, got 2 punctures in 100km and got rid immediately. May have been back luck, but had no such issues on my Michelin's.

They did roll very well and were extremely supple, but heavy and too soft for a fatty.

Put these on two rides ago, and have done 100k. Second ride it was teeming it down and in at least five spots, the lanes were flooded to over the cranks. No problems at all with grip, feels better than conti four season I normally use. No punctures yet. Added bonus the tan/black look super cool on my Synapse.

I have high hopes for the graphene puncture protection, but will see how they pan out over distance.

  • Isn't always the way that you find bargains that aren't suitable for your own needs? Certainly seems to be the case for me, more often than not!

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... prod149161

£60 and it's a "clearance" item, so spend another £15.01+ for an extra £10 off the basket.

Could you then also use your British Cycling 10% discount if the basket was £99+?

So what's the catch, why aren't I buying this for my Cube as a spare? It has 39/53 chainrings and I'm a hill climber with modest power, swapping out my 34/50 would make my easiest gear the rough equivalent to my current second easiest gear (34-28) and I need my current ~28 gear inch ratio (34-32) to climb http://www.strava.com/segments/14331133 and my newly discovered local torture training hill http://www.strava.com/segments/5471987

if you ordered something on a wednesday, paid for 2 day delivery, would it be unreasonable to expect delivery on a friday?

    i dont think so.

Planet X it appears would disagree :|

I would be claiming a delivery refund assuming you ordered before the delivery cut off time.

I am not sure. You have no chance.

They are a mixed bag. Have had plenty of issues with them, but occasionally they have some good deals, and display decent customer service. Its all very random and frustrating though.

well ive had shit customer service once again.

so it turns out i was sent the wrong tracking number originally.

and now it turns out that 2 day delivery and dispatch before 5pm actually means if we can be arsed to do that.
"The order was shipped yesterday 26 October. We aim to ship all orders (excluding bikes) placed before 5pm using Royal Mail Monday to Friday GMT (UK) on the same working day although this may not always be possible during busy trading periods and may be 3 to 5 working days (https://www.planetx.co.uk/help/delivery-information).

Delivery may be tommorow (if Saturday deliveries are an option in your area/ at your location) or next week. "

and wont refund the delivery cost.

Thanks Planet X for reminding me why i used to believe in spending more money than giving you my business. fucking fraud of a company.

Just bagged a load of winter accessories from PX - socks, gloves x2, leg warmers, shoe covers, neck warmers - sub £50 for the lot. Pretty hard to argue with given they all seem to be ok quality.

That said the 48hr Delivery is 48 hours from when it reaches Royal Mail in Sheffield...

    completely pointless offering it.

why not just have a standard charge for delivery rather that putting a time frame on it. then people wouldnt be complaining.

terrible service, from a terrible company. and for some reason im shocked and slightly surprised. why!? i know what they are.
