Stick with it - like all fora, there are good posters and not-so-good posters.

2017 Cannondale Slate 105 - use "bike10" to get it to £1,215 from £2,699 RRP.

    Will also bring down the price of a 2017 CAAD12 to £899, 52, 54 & 56 in stock

Are those Slates actually any good though? I'm in the market for a Cross/Adventure bike at the moment and the choice is currently between a Boardman Team and a PX London Road. Do the Cannondales actually offer anything other than a slightly funky, love it or hate it look?

I'm sure I've read that Cannondale aren't bringing the 2018 model Slate to the UK - my LBS also steered me away from a 2017 model due to number of warranty claims they'd had on the wheels and fork. Shame as I really like the idea of it...

    Looks like 52, 54 and 58.

I think I want a CAAD 12 for a "dry" bike. Must resist. £900 seems very cheap though. Must resist.

Wouldn't you have to buy a Ti bike so the Mrs doesn't notice?

    It is silver...

I think I'll stick with the whooshy wheels on the current bike though. However, the boy did spot me looking at wheels on my new phone, and he started bellowing "how much?!" when he saw the price. I had to buy him off with a bottle of orange Fanta and the promise of a Zinger burger meal when he gets back from a fortnight with his dad...

Not sure how bargainous these are, but they are big reductions:

    1.8K down from 3K:

Black and yellow goodness, ruined by a blue stripe, but there we go.

I like them. They're no-nonsense bikes. People worry far too much about what a bike looks like and you can hardly see the thing when you're on it.

Is the for more like a Castelli or Endura? Do you have any experience of the brand?

I have the foul weather gilet, some bibs they don't make anymore, a speedsuit, oh and also short and long sleeve merino base layers.

    I'm assuming for = fit?

If so, I would personally suggest they are more like Castelli. Having said that, Myles is very active, and will respond to queries quickly usually, around any sizing questions.
For me, they are a good solid brand, who make no nonsense high quality items.
Not a huge fan of most of their colourways, but that's an infinitely personal thing I realise!

Yes, for = fit. Very tired tonight...

Thanks for the reply, looks like a good value bundle.

Fairly certain CRC will NOT let you use more than one discount/promotional code at the checkout- so it's 10% discount x 1, not 2 here.

its in my basket with the combined 27% off so at the moment their website is allowing it, just do the BC one last!

Ah well, fair play to you. I tried it last week with a £130 wheelset which was a 'clearance' item. It would only deduct the £10 off for clearance items OR the BC 10% discount, not both.

I've been filling my face with blackberries every morning dog walk for weeks now. Seems like it's a bumper year.

I tend to avoid them when out on the bike though; thorny little b@stards have a liking for tyres and lycra.
