Buggers are not sending me one!
Maybe my membership has expired....
They don't email it to you. Log into the BC website and click on your account. It'll show the discount code there.

Shimano 105 5800 11 Speed Double Chainset Silver

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... 7f2f826fb9

    With BC discount £46.

Worth getting as 4 bolt chainrings are so expensive may as well just replace cranks?

I bought on as a replacement for my current 4700 crankset, going to to fit it when the 4700 chainrings wear out. 105 crank is alot lighter than 4700.

There's talk of more and more of demand-related pricing (as airlines/hotels already do): maybe this is an example of this?

Top tip. If you do price comparison, flights being a prime example, then log onto a separate machine for buying else you will find that prices have increased.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Yup - as some who has regularly done the same route, I can concur with this.

£550 with BC Discount for Exaliths inc wheel bag and brake pads.

Can't use BC discount on those wheels as already in the "sale". I wish you could!!

Yep just tested it, as thought it should work (There have never been any exceptions to what you can buy so long as the whole order is in excess of £99), and it did - you just need to ensure you are logged in first - and of course you can go through TCB to lop another £10 off too.

Strange i get "You do not qualify for this promotion – please check Ts&Cs" Hmmm, i'll contact them!

They told me once that if you add your code but don't purchase then the next time you enter your code you get the above message (in the same month) Place order as normal then CS will add the discount if you email them. Sound twatwaffle to me

That's a bit crap, I did add the code to check disc before logging in so i guess it thinks i've used the code! Cheers

Yes - a sofware glitch which has been like that forever it seems. When you apply the code to a basket, it marks the code on their system as having been used and sets a cookie on your browser to use it. The trouble is that if you clear your cookies, it gets lost and they still think its been used. Then what happens when you log in is that all the cookies are cleared.

So - be sure you are going to purchase before applying it anywhere and make sure you log in before you apply it.

I have had the problem and emailed them and they were good as gold - just refunded me the money.

Is anyone else thinking about lights yet? I've just picked up a Lezyne light set - the Macro Drive 800XL (front) & Micro (rear). At £54.38 the pair is less than the front light on its own:
    http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-li ... ight-black

That price is matched by Wiggle & Evans but I get 10% off at the big H with BC membership card :)
Aspire not to have more, but to be more.

I'm "always" thinking about lights. I have enough emergency be seen backup lights dotted around offices around the south coast with batteries to match...
Looks like a reasonable light for the cash, but the beam shape lets it down for the amount of lumens it puts out.

I've the 400 lumen version and I think the beam is pretty good, the rear on the other hand seems great for blinding people behind you but not much else.

Sky fans, some good bargains to be had over at the LeTour website

TEAM SKY PERFETTO LONG SLEEVE JERSEY £60 - Gabba 3 £47.50

    http://boutique.letour.fr/stores/letour/en/product/team-sky-perfetto-long-sleeve-jersey/198464

Cheers. Some good ASO race tat there. Got a few naff t-shirts :)

Might have bought a sportful top in that sale, but my word they size small don't they? When I got it yesterday I saw it said "racefit" on the pack and that raised eyebrows!! 62kg skinny bugger and the small is aero tight-mmm

On a separate note did anyone know Halfords price match, just got some Rubino tyres at chain reaction prices (50% discount) plus BC discount and if you get a TCB payout in Halfords vouchers there's an extra 10% bonus...

I'm finding more and more of these 2 LED lights are about flood, not throw, especially those without shaped lenses, and it's really annoying me.

Must be new to this then, I rarely check Halfords to see if they sold some of the weird and wonderful stuff I have bought, but guess tyres should have been obvious. The extra bonus on getting TCB payout as Halfords e-vouchers was definitely a surprise- everyday is a school day, I guess!

One of the slightly crazy things about Halfords is that they will price match their own website in store. For instance, the in store price of a 105 cassette was near RRP yet on-line it was 60% off (though "no stock"). The store matched the website then knocked 10% off for BC. Almost gave the shop assistant a tip he was so helpful.

Yeah I guess I don't notice that at the lower power end, I tend to use it to see but only on semi-lit roads. I've not tried it in the pitch black.

I like the look of the raveman range which seems to solve that problem, I might be the oddity but I much prefer the rubber mounts of the Lezyne as I'm always switching lights http://www.ravemen.com/index.php?m=cont ... ts&catid=8

Aye, those raveman look interesting, a spin on the fenix designs that seem to have started it.

I ride across "dark skies standard" areas on my commute, in the middle winter it's amazing just how dark is dark.
I've now got 4 front lights on the bike for winter -, as none do "all the jobs perfectly" - so I really do keep an eye out for alternatives, and currently have a parts to build a custom, remote controlled multi LED/multi unit approach...

I know the answer is probably an IXON-IQ, but I like fiddling...

After having to choose between blinding oncoming drivers or illuminating only 10 feet in front of me with an impressive but unsuitable Fenix torch my answer was an Ixon IQ. Luckily bought from Germany before the pound fell out with the Euro.

I think the only way I could improve on it would be with something else German and dynamo powered.

Castelli Alpha Jacket for £115 in all sizes, but limited colours, and still none that float my boat fortunately.

There's also a £5 code to knock it down to £110, and then 3.15% cashback through TCP takes it down to less than £107 - not too shabby at all.
