^Trouble is i already have a Castelli Velocissimo gilet which looks very similar to the Ale (substantial x-fast windstopper front, and much lighter material on the back) and I rarely use that given its relative weight/bulk. That said, i might start to take it with the new aero 4.1 jersey for early morning runs. ....

Glad you like it as much as I do - I really think Ale kit, if it fits, is right up there design and quality wise - and if found on offer, can be stunning value.
Could not decide between this and the lighter Hot pack 5, so ended up keeping both

Bizarre, clicked on the hyperlink again, and this time I get 59.50 - so yes it must have been in Euros last time somehow
Currently in Mauritius using a UK VPN (So I can watch Le Tour), so perhaps that plays a part.
    Anyway, apologies, please ignore me.

If the jersey had more yellow, or green, I could well have been interested, but I really mustn't by any more jerseys anyway.
Irritatingly I noticed that LP are now doing free delivery AND returns

Do I want one of these? Mines currently on the stem, and it doesn't bother me a huge amount, but I can see the attraction of it being a bit further forward!

IMHO they look a lot better out front. More pro and rule compliant too.

It's just a MUCH better location, you can glance down at it whilst on the hoods or in the drops, without having to make a conscious effort.

One for riders with clearance for 2.35" slicks, on either 27.5" or 29" wheels...

Unclear which version this is (liteskin/snakeskin), but the latter rolls really well.

Wouldn't have thought much better. I have been using the Sram on my Boardman, never had a problem.

Both put these in a 'higher' position than the offical garmin mounts. The garmin one keeps the edge unit all most inline with the top of the bars, but the others but it sitting on top of the bars.

Each to there own, garmin mounts all the way for me, prefer the edge unit to be sitting flush with bars.. :)

Because its lower and not long enough, the Garmin out front wont work with the 1000 though (no problem for me as I have the 800).

I had a couple of other brands and they were gradually wearing away the tabs on my garmin so I stopped using them.

I prefer the Garmin Combo mount now. Allows a gopro mount underneath for camera or light.

Oh, I'd never heard of those before. That would be better than using my roll cage mount from my car

Sent mine back a while ago as I found this VERY bulky. They're ok, but they are bigger than they arguably need to be, especially with the oversized grubscrew with knurled plastic knob. I found some cheap K-edge combo mounts through the Evans Clearance instead, much more svelte! Might be worth looking to see if they have more? Was the same price if not cheaper as I recall...

I dont find it bulky at all, apart from the knob for attaching the camera, which I dont leave on it when not using the camera. The knob is useful when I am using camera though as it allows me to easily swap between forward facing on the combo mount and rearward facing on the K-Edge saddle rail mount that I have (for which I use the same oversized knob as it makes it easy to swap without tools.

I prefer my Barfly 2.0 mount to the Garmin ones, less bulky and seems to hold the unit a bit lower so more level with the line of the top of the stem.
