Just seen there is the holy grail of old school touring bikes on offer at Evans today but only if you take a 21"...

A Dawes Galaxy classic for nearly half price @ £925
    https://www.evanscycles.com/dawes-galax ... h-EV309821

Also, if you're looking to get camera'd up there's Shimano cameras for half price (and Cateye Inous for £75). Cheaper than the generic SilverLabel ones you see all over the place.

i guess if your bike can take such wide tyres and you dont mind 410g per tyre

not a great price for the shimano camera, the CM-1000 (which I run) has been available at £85 delivered in the past, and with the CM-1100 (4k@30fps/ 1080p@60fps) out now, I'd expect it to be cheaper still ( brexit/currency fluxations aside)

Equally, the Cateye is only 30fps at 640x480 - don't touch it with a barge pole at that price. The CM-1000 is a much better bet, even without the GPS feed, but even then it's not "great" optic quality.
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
    Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...

I like the Shimano camera - I have a couple and they're much more simple in operation to the GoPro Hero 3 Black Ed that I also use. I think the quality is more than adequate for my needs. But, absolutely, the price has been loads better than that - it must have been for me to have bought the first and then a second. 4K is unwarranted, in my view, for most home applications.

I bought my two Shimano cameras for £80. Loved them when I used them (1 front, 1 rear) on a tour across England and Wales with my son. Havent used them much since - never seem to get around to it. If I had a better camera, I wouldnt use it any more often so no point paying more for a gopro. In hindsight, I wish I had just bought 1 to play around with but hey I might get some more use out of them. They are waterproof without a housing too so great for filming kids in the pool and snorkelling.

The Tacx T2500 Booster Ultra High Power Folding Magnetic Trainer £100 at Halfords seems like a good deal - http://www.halfords.com/cycling/turbo-trainers/trainers/tacx-t2500-booster-ultra-high-power-folding-magnetic-cycletrainer

Nice one good to know, shame they aren't doing them for £85 at the moment, will keep my eyes peeled. Had seen some generic action cameras with housing for less than £50 recently (may have been PC World or Aldi can't remember). For some people's commutes any camera is better than no camera I guess?

Merlin have 10% off selected brands this weekend, including Schwalbe.

~£16 for 700x30c wired bead G-One Speed (struggling to find spec of this compared with the 330g liteskin variant).

Pinched from the disc brake build thread in "Road" but some real Cube frame bargains - especially MTB. Wish they had the Reaction GTC in 26" wheels - would transplant my Ali frame.

PX are now up to "T" in their latest (gimmicky) alphabet sale, but "S" is still active until midday today.

25% off summer gear (jerseys, base layers, bottles/cages, caps, glasses, socks).
Titanium frames/bikes, tyres, tubes. Code gives 20% discount.

There's probably some bargains in the tyres section, but I'm too tired to spot much, but 700x38c Marathon Cross for ~£16 each is a good bang for the buck tourer. They roll very well on the road and pretty good on mild off-road (with a bit less pressure).

    http://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/deals/the-alphabet-sale

Merlin are doing the wired version of the 700x30c G-One Speed Raceguards for ~£18 each, not tubeless and not as light as the TLE version, but ~£30 cheaper per tyre!

Would make the Ultegra Di2 disk groupset £1079 on pre-order. Was pleased with paying £1199 back in March and they're a helpful bunch with whom to deal.

Velox rim tape £1.79, but the 20% code doesn't seem to work on it.

Having been using the Di2 STIs for only 6 weeks, in comparison to almost 6 years on the 6700 ones, I've not found them an issue in use - just been loving the zzzzzt changes and auto-trim. An enjoyable luxury.

Bendertherobot - I don't suppose that the cambium you bought at the same time as the rack and top box was a bargain?

Considering they're selling the wheels and frameset bundle for £400, another £300 seems a steal for Ultegra.

Frame is selling for £250, wheels £250 and groupset is over £450.

Dude, it's seriously a LOVELY bit of kit, and worth every penny at that price imho.
If you want a race fit, I reckon you would be a medium.
I'm sure you owe it to yourself to at least order it (and maybe a large for comparison, only 4 of each left!) to take a look at it ;-)
