A while ago I posted about cheap Cube Attain GTC Pro frames, what I didn't spot was the forks are there too...
    https://www.bike-discount.de/en/search? ... 24&o=preis

Which would work with http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPFURSPOD/ ... r-wheelset (no idea if £160 for bolt thru version is cheapest)

Gah, it never rains but it pours.
I've been pinged about a set of MTB wheels that Taylor Wheels are doing - Shimano 525 hubs, Mavic 119D rims for £33 for rear and £27 for fronts, plus £9 delivery.
    https://www.taylor-wheels.com/taylor-wh ... m525-black
    https://www.taylor-wheels.com/taylor-wh ... m525-black
My guess is they are a perfect "in case of emergency" wheelset - which is exactly what I want.
It's almost cheaper than the hubs themselves if bought from the usual UK suppliers.

Should be perfect for typically road based commute.

Is ~£26.40 for 700x25mm Grand Prix 4000 S II, in Halfords 20% off cycling until 2200, considered a bargain?

If you do click and collect, will they then honour BC discount on top of this flash sale discount?

I'm not sure of the quality of the rims, but for a winter tyre fix on the MTB they should be ok.

You swines. I had 2 of those and 2 of the 4 seasons in my basket.
The GP 4000S II suddenly sold out and i couldn't remove them from the basket quick enough to check out before 10:00.

And there I was thinking I had excuses for all the packages that are turning up in the next few days. Here's another one to add to the list of excuses...

Am I being impatient but has anyone had confirmation of their Halfords bargain orders last night? I got the email confirming they had the order, but not yet received the text it's ready for collection- can't help thinking they may not be able to fulfill all the demand (picked up some conti tyres)

The Conti GP4000 and 4season tyres were probably the highlight of the sale for consumable bike bits, ~£24/26 respectively on click and collect with BC discount, I bet they were absolutely hammered with orders of both! I probably should have got a pair myself, but I spent £29 on getting a pair of Grand Sport Race delivered last week and I can't afford to have too many tyres sitting around in boxes these days.

My thoughts exactly-which is why I wanted to see if others had positive news, however, I did order separately a muc-off cassette cleaner for £3 and can't believe demand outstripped supply for that one!!

"ACCESS12" basket code for final price of £102.95

Topcashback have a separate code (https://www.topcashback.co.uk/probikekit/) to get 12% discount on orders over £100 and then eventually receive 2% cashback, but for the Super GPS, the eventual price difference was <10p.

I would, but the resistance training will mean that i'll leave you standing, and all you'll hear is "whoosh"
I rode 900 miles on snow stud tyres during the winter just gone which weigh about the same, but came a cropper a 3 times as they didn't have studs in the middle of the tyre. These are cheaper, and better. A perfect tyre to have on a second set of wheels for ~ 3 months of the year

I tried Marathon W***ers one winter on my Boardman CX - came off and busted the hanger. From then on it was Ice Spiker Pros on the MTB - better in every way IMO. And I was doing 35 miles a day on them - I'm not convinced that you get a pay-off although I always felt you should.

I got my value out of the snow studs, that I'm sure of. I cross a formal ford and a flooded river each day, each became a solid, 3-400m long stretch of solid ice last winter- some cars had came off the road as I rode past, but I got caught out on shadowy corners , thankfully only a minor hedge landing each time.
I now have no other way of getting to work, so happy to spend the extra cash for the price of one taxi ride.

There might be some Wheely good bargains at PX.;)

Gipiemme Roccia Equipe 700c/29 Inch Disc Wheelset pic Gipiemme Roccia Equipe 700c/29 Inch Disc Wheelset
    for ~£63 is silly cheap.
Fulcrum Racing Sport Disc 12mm bolt thru for £128 isn't bad.
Fulcrum Racing 5 Disc isn't bad for £240, shame the front is 15mm (while rear is 12x142).

There's also the odd frame, like a medium London Road for £64, plus the odd bike like the Holdsworth La Quelda Steel Single Speed Drop Bar Mens / Large / Team Orange pic Holdsworth La Quelda Steel Single Speed Drop Bar Mens / Large / for £320.

Look out for bundles, for instance you could buy the Vision 35 wheelset for £260, or buy the Brevet frame bundle with wheelset and a wheelbag for £250. Or the Pro Carbon bundle for £400.
