Just bought a Sportful jersey from Halfrauds for £16.

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... tId=947369

The red and white is £42 but the (nicer) black and white is £16 for some reason.

    Cheers for that,
2 Jerseys and a pair of shorts for under £40 Bargin!
  • The sizing guide on the Sportful clothes seems to suggest the sizing is small. I.e. XXXL is probably closer to a usual XL. Can anyone confirm whether this is the case? :D

Sportful and Castelli are practically the same company - they share factories and everything.

No they are the same company, sportful is the parent company, go figure!?!

and as ever with Castelli i'm a Large but medium anywhere else ie non Italian

As an FYI sportful arm warmers are about 2 sizes too small, especially if you actually have upper body muscles otherwise all their sizings are italian, so 1 to 1.5 smaller than normal peeps.

Bit the bullet on a pair of Conti 4seasons so went to Evans and grabbed a pair off the shelf marked at £42.25, got them to price match with their website then apply CPA2 price code. Walked out with a pair for £61.18, a 27.5% discount :D The store manager claimed they were selling at a loss.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Doesn't look too bad I think....

Worth a Punt @£16 for a cycle Jersey...

Select the red/Black /White that's actually pictured in the offer email to find ..

Oh NO!! thats actually £42 WTF??

Black and white is ok, and still a bargain, but I don't see how they can actually picture an Item with a label of £16 and then charge £42??? GRRR...

Same with both the Crank and Pista models..

Both this one and the £15 one said price FROM - the red colours came up at full price, the black/white were cheaper.

I bought a large, which is my usual size. they're clearly cut the for whippet thin pros, as it didn't even come close! I've had to order an xl and xxl, because I'm not sure!!

Damn. I hope the Sportful Jersey that I bought fits ok, its an Xl and I normally wear a large, it was slightly more than the Halfords ones as well.

I'm either a medium or a large ordinarily. I've ordered a large and xl in the above, then an xl and xxl in the other style.
Hoping one of them will also make a present for my bro in law. Should get them next week.

I've got an XL, too big, should've gone large. Anyone want it or to swap it for an L before I send it back?

I just had my Large and XL turn up today, L is fine - shame as the other design that I prefer I was only able to order in XL or XXL, still one of them will be a present.

I'm not sending any back, you can return for free instore.

Got mine today - a bit of a weird shape. Ordered L, XL and XXL - expecting XXL to be the right size based on what others have said, and Castelli experience...

The shoulders seem really baggy, but the straps at the bottom of the arms a little tight. Completely unlike Castelli stuff I have tried that doesnt like anyone with muscles at all... The L looks a little tight on the body, only just and its so close that I am not sure. The XL seems a little big in the body, with fabric to spare at the front when in cycling position. The L is too big on the shoulders and too tight on the biceps - never seen that before... All seem quite short in the body but as long as you are wearing bibs that should be OK - wouldnt want to wear them without though as it would be sure to leave gaps.

I would take them all back but its nice and thin, probably great on hot days, more like a mesh in many panels. So this could be useful and it was very cheap. So thinking I will keep either the L (more aero but possibly a tad too much so) or the XL (seems to fit better but might flap a little on the bike).

Also got some of the vuelta shorts to try for when I dont fancy wearing bibs - they seem pretty reasonable and again very cheap. Not up there with my castelli free aero bibshorts but like I say there may be odd occasions where I dont want bibs for practical reasons or when its really hot. Cant decide on whether to keep those either...

I got my Sportful jersey in XXL. Its a funny fit, being a bit baggy at the top and then tight at the bottom. But thats probably my shape being incomprehensible to Italians. For the money its a fine, works well under a long sleeve base layer for the commute.

    I got my Sportful yesterday,

Its an XL, i'm normally an L - it fits fine on the torso, but is very long of the arm (its a saxobank winter jersey).

  • Sounds like the Sportful jerseys were cheap for a reason. I doubt many would be keepers if people had paid full price.
