I'll buy them off you. £10 a pair
Yes they are not the quickest, but on the commute I don't really care, more bothered about puncture protection.0 -

If you could pop over and pick them up, I'd give them to you for nothing.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

I've been running a hardshell on the front of my fixie on the commute. Just retired it after a year and a half of service. Tread was fine, but it was covered in battle scars - none of which had punctured the inner. Paired with a Specialized Armadillo at the back. Agree that they are not the fastest tyres in the world, but on my commute, where I'm not worried about my average speed, they were fine.http://www.georgesfoundation.org

I wouldn't have minded as much if I hadn't got two punctures in the 2-3 weeks I ran them - that's pretty much my average for an entire year on Rubino ProsROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
meanredspider wrote:Yes - I wonder how many pairs of these tyres are kicking around with only 2-4 weeks of use. I know I have a pair and so does a
colleague. He, like me, measured a drop in average speed as a result of using these tyres.
Quite a few I'd guess. The 26x1.95 MTB versions are no better. Hard wearing and good puncture resistance but the wet weather performance is shocking. Only reason I still use mine is that the MTB I have them fitted on doesn't see much use so its not worth spending any money to replace them. Would never buy them again though.

I've just replaced tyres that flatted thrice in two days with R-Pros. 183% Improvement seems reasonable.0

They price-match anyway even if you do find somewhere cheaper"Mummy Mummy, when will I grow up?"

I just had a look in the new big Sports Direct hereabouts.
They are stocking a bigger range of cycling kit with the Muddy Fox label. It's not going to win you any pose points on a club ride or out on the trails, but for functional commuter cycling kit it's pretty reasonable.
The shoes seem like a particularly good deal, covering three levels of MTB plus a road pair. I think the roadies are £30, so maybe worthwhile as a spare set.0 -
