EDIT: yep, its the coronado ones
Only got them in a small, and they sound Itallian, so that probably means slightly too small for a stick thin midget.
The Altura's look ok for £35, might order some of those....
My Biemme's arrived today, only 30 beer tokens from the helpful JE James.
Another seller still has large on eBay @ 40 squid but, upon calling them last week they only wanted to sell me the yoga version.. :?
Usually an xl but not width-wise so managed to squeeze into my large biemme's, rather happy with them. My first set of bib longs, appear better than my roubaix leggings - suppose ill find out come monday as im determined to give up my waterproof pants as a weather barrier when all they do is make me sweat0 -

Anyone any experience of this front light?
http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/hawking0 ... 74638.html
Or would this do pretty much the same job (giving me enough light to see where I'm going on the un-lit parts of my commute) but with the bonus of not having to carry a 1 1/2lb battery with me?

For reference am currently using a pair of CatEye HL-EL300s which are OK for making my presence on the road obvious to other users but fall a bit short in the help-me-see-where-I'm-going stakes...0 -

Would I notice a difference if I paid the extra for these rather than my usual Rubino slicks?
In my experience, not a lot. I bought a set for the Etape Caledonia having previously found them good (faster) versus my Gatorskins. But, TBH, vs the Rubino Pros I was running, the only difference I could tell was that they punctured more (a lot more). The proof of the pudding is that when I rode Ireland end-to-end I rode on the Rubinos. If I was going to buy some "faster" but robust tyres I'd buy the Vittoria Paves
thanks MRS, I think that tells me all I need to know0 -
I think MRS has had a bad experience. Everyone I know raves about them. I have had mine for 18m and about to replace like with like. No 'random' punctures unless I smash a pothole (which buckled the whole rim) and had a couple recently as they are now totally finished.
In my (and the majority!) opinion- highly recommended - quick and good puncture resistance in all weather0 -
I had a bad experience too. Bought a pair, used for a few hundred miles. Lots and lots of punctures, spread out over the time I had them not all at once. Got really annoyed with them, went back to rubino pro's, happy again.- Genesis Croix de Fer

I'm with the scaly one (in much preferring Rubino Pros). But we are in a minority and probably don't know how to ride a bike properly0 -

(Touching wood while I say this), don't know what you're doing wrong. Mine are pretty good, maybe 3 visits in 3 years? What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?0 -

I probably just rode them at a bad time of year. For me, the problem with the fairy visits was secondary to the lack of grip, which supports my theory that it is more a case of rider error than anything else.0 -

Currently using some Sports direct MFX ones, comfy enough but they have the structural integrity of jam so want to try something different.
Dont really want to spend more than £50 if I can help it....

These arrived on Friday and used them for 57 mile ride on Sun - they were excellent, much thicker and better quality than the Sports direct efforts I had before. Thumbs up from me.strava - http://app.strava.com/athletes/1217847

Agree for £35 you cannot go wrong with a pair of these. I'm a fussy b'stard but I like these.0 -
My Biemme coronado's @ 30 squids, today already paid for themselves
Though may try the altura ones myself anyway as they are cheaper than alot i've seen0 -

Yes the grips are good, the pump is also good for the price cheap enough to warrant leaving it at work or as a back up at home, the gilet doesn't look too bad either, maybe worth a punt at that price.0

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Sorry if this has already been mentioned - I looked through the last few pages but can't sneakily browse back further at work.
Amazon have the Abus Granit 54 X-Plus 230mm D-lock for £41.35
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Abus-Granit-54- ... 459&sr=8-1
Best price I'd found it for elsewhere was £67.48!
Not sure which bracket (if any) it comes with. I didn't care as I won't be attaching it to the frame to carry it. I'll let you know when it's delivered.
With thanks to InkZ who mentioned it on my thread about D-locks in the general forum.0 -
