Changed pads , got to try sort out front brake tho ... I am sure will sort it out by saturday. What about others? Anyone fancy to join Saturday ride at 8.00 ?
Supraman ... give coordinates of parking / meeting place in Leith hill, or you planned to ride Holmbury+Leith (in that case meeting at Youth Hostlel car park and finish ride with Telegraph Row) ? Mind you ... I am limited to ride for maximum 3 hours of fun.

I think we will wait to see if anyone else joins , before deciding , if the ride from holmburry to leith is fast easy trail or fire road we can put it in, with your timing, otherwise there is plenty to ride in 3 hours on leith.

Will come along. If there's not going to be much hauling ass uphill and it's not going to be swampy I'll bring the bouncy bike rather than the HT.

so here is the nearest post code i could find RH5 6LY.
basically you will be turning of guildford road in to hollow lane, follow this always straight it ll become leith hill road. keep following till you find on your left entrance to a sandy car park, it should be very close to the postcode given. Carpark entrance is hidden by bushes so careful to not miss it and there is a height limiter if you carry bikes on the roof.

this will be the first car park as there are a few other smaller ones further down the road.

at worst call me or wait me at the entrance of hollow lane near the bus stop.

Either or both of you want to PM me your mobile numbers in case I can't find it. When I've been out there with the family I usually park on Leith Hill rd so I should be able to find it though.

Supra-man - there is a bridleway that links Leith and Holmbury Hills. It's off Leith Hill Road here and takes you over to Holmbury St Mary, where you can then ride up on a wide track (it's marked as a footpath on the map) past the cricket pitch to the start of Telegraph Road here. This is the route I normally take between the two hills.

Forgot it was mother's day so got to do family things tomorrow. Shame, as I got a new mech hanger at Nirvana Cycles in Westcott. Great service there BTW and they've got a Ragley mmmBop to test if you still like the sound of a long-travel HT.

yeah, file sizes are a problem. I suggest regular use of the shutter button i.e to stop and then start filming again to break the ride up into smaller file sizes which makes it easier to review, find sections you want and ultimately to edit.

Saturday-Sunday at 9.00 . Anyone fancy a ride? Could combine Holmbury+Leith hills ... starting from Youth hostel carpark to Leith hill trails (full length Summer lighting+) then coming back to BKB n teabreak and obviously finishing off with Yog pots and Telegraph row! I am aware we would have to road ride too.

p.s. Saturday 00.00-03.00 rain, 06.00-12.00 dull weather, 12.00-15.00 rain in some places according to msn hourly weather.

Can do. Given I've been away all week tho, anyone feel like slightly earlier, leave me with time to spend with the family :)

Also, Holmbury youth hostel right? I'm assuming so as I don't know of any others even remotely nearby

Yep, all set for 9.00 at Youth Hostel carpark then. Was celebrating mother'n'law birthday today so wouldn't be fast'n'furious after rum with whiskey session. Will take Supraman with me.Lapierre2010 wanted to join us, hope he is not too shy to come, didn't see Agg25 for a long time, and not to sure about Traildogmtb guys. Fatfreddycat ... hope to meet you too!

Back in the country and should be up for something next week end onwards. Did you guys manage to get to Leith in the end?

If anyone fancies a jaunt around Swinley for a change I'd be up for that too (though not the jumps for me :D). I try to give the place a rest as I've done it to death but then when I do go back I still manage to find a little bit of new trail. No match for Surrey Hills, but for a couple of hours it's fun. With more light in the evenings I may be able to make it after work.
