Not sure if it's the same now as it was. There's some shore there but nothing too challenging, though the see saw is fun.

Been away for most of the last month and not on a bike that needs pedalling for that long (well apart from stationary one in the gym the other day!

Heading to Aston Hill tomorrow if anyone is skiving off work :)

... that is assuming that I behave myself at Lovebox today and don't end up in a bit of a state! I have some good motivation though - heading to Fort William Friday-week so need to get some practice in!

A few of us are over at Leith today (4pm), see a page or two back.

Unfortunately work gets in the way for me for a weekday. Still, I'd like to check out Aston some day.

Saturday ... as planned with people to hit Afan for W2 affair, if majority decide to go on Sunday then most probably it would be Cwmcarn Freeride - Downhill I suspect. Can't shout for all people on which day to decide, but will update that info for sure.

Jedi ... were you talking about XC riding stuff or about availability of skillz courses?

A good late afternoon ride. Just a quick play around Redlands. Two casualties... both bikes :D

cooldad and his rear mech with temporary rubber band fix!

and then Helter's Bike vs Tree competition...

Wales - I'm flexible on the days but it can only be the weekend. Can't do Friday.

Atz - A *maybe* for Swinley in the week, but it's looking unlikely at the moment due to deadlines to meet at work so late days.

After today's ride ... shame about Helter, managed to heroically write off his wonderfull Charge Duster into a tree. Most importantly though, bike was written off, not the Helter. To look at it from other perspective though, could easily crush into a tree unconcsious or brake shoulder ... /cheer up, that's the darkside of MTB, kind of.

At least people did enjoy some XC, was so counting on you for skillz courses ... now need for Supraman to fill that gap. Ohh nevermind, as said before most important no one got injured.

Think there was a warning omen from cooldad mechanical, but those trails were so tempting to ride, Helter did nail the lot of them, shame it all ended up from steep roll off into a tree.

    Basta*

p.s. DKenny pix or it didn't happen !!!

Jesus, what'd he do, off and sideways into a tree? I've got a spare frame but unfortunately it's not disc compatible so you'll need to find some Vs for the back if you want to borrow it (it's an old rockhopper), otherwise, cheapest options are either Merlin or OnOne.

Jedi what time you start the ride? Would be interesting to link up, hope the riding place isn't too technical and climbs not too steep. Don't want to embarrass myself big time infront of your group.

Atz yep, you know that steep angle slope with sharpish roll off, Helter did entrance good kind of sessioned it but didn't look for the exit ... slided big time and fixed his vision on tree. The rest is documented in pictures. But thats the affair of our photographer DKenny.

Hope tomorrow pain will not come.

Darkside of Helter talking his mind on Carbon OnOne, Plaisir talked him into that. I would say crash replacement more sensible thing to do, especially as it so came into life after all pimpy upgrades Helter made.

Popstar - mangrove trail or the dusty bit to the side of the climb back up?

BTW, when was this mooted coaching planned for?

And finally, might be more up for Sunday than Saturday in Wales but if majority prefer Sat will see.

If we manage to get at least 3 riders for 31st of August and thats if people do commit to attend it, providing there is still a free date with ... then thats the deal done. Think once Supraman back to UK then surely we can fix it somehow. Don't want to cough up money for -no show riders. There is DKenny and me for sure, then FFK and Supraman needs to confirm, Helter is written off as it stands now, Plaisir off to France so won't be able to attend =(

Surely if we can't or not ready for 31st then hopefully there would be some free dates in August, providing the master doesn't leave this wonderfull country.

I think it's safe to say I won't be out for awhile. Luckily all I got was a grazed knee for my troubles, oh yeah and a steeper head angle.

Cheers for the offer, far too much dosh has been spent so far on all the upgrades for my newly departed Charge so will hold off spending more until a new frame arrives. Had a look at that OnOne Carbon as soon as I got home too, mmmm

Can probably get a 2nd hand on-one 456 for well under £100 if you ask around. Would work for all your bits and steel too. Advantage is if you popped out the spacers on your rebas, you might get 120mm or so and could have the whole thing a bit slacker than the charge was.

Alternatively, come and check my spare frame out. Can't remember how tall you are but it's not particularly big (I got given it for Mrs Atz). Alternatively, check what I'm about to PM you. Burly frame for £100 quid and he's so desperate to shift it you could probably get it cheaper.

@Rich, shame I can't join you both tue-wed ... some of commitments don't give me enough sleep, never mind show up knackered for your rad-style riding = certain death.

Looks as if Sunday SWales on cards, let's hope weather would suit Sunday more than Saturday.

Afan seems a bit of a mission for a day imo. So we're left with Cwmcarn or we could do something closer to home like Chicksands or Aston Hill even (or perhaps even both on the same day)? Would have suggested UK Bike Park but that's got a race on Sunday.
